Help on distance within All Star Movies resort!!

We will be staying with my parents who are in their seventies and have standard rooms at the ASMovies. I didn't realize until last night that the only standard rooms are at the way back of the resort which will be harder for my parents given all the walking they will do at the parks.

Someone on another site had mentioned that if you are in the Mighty Ducks section that it is closer to walk to the All Star Music bus stop than it is to go all through the resort to the ASMovies bus stop. I checked a map and it does appear that way but maps can be deceiving.

Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, how much closer? I have stayed at the AS Movies before so if you could say that the walk from MD rooms to Music bus stop is about the same as walking from the ?? rooms to the Movies bus stop, so that I have a reference, that would be great!

I tried to ask both reservations and the resort direct line and no one could seem to help me.

PS-I realize that I could upgrade to a preferred room but that may not be an option for us. Also, on the map it looks to be about the same distance as MD to Music anyway.

I can't give you the reference you are looking for, but I do know from experience that the MD building is closer to the Music bus stop than Movies. There are few places in the All Stars that this happens.

The map I have, in the Unofficial Guide, looks pretty accurate. The resorts are extremely close to each other at several points.

Mighty Ducks is a bit closer to Music, but no more than a 5 minute walk to Movies bus area. The Love Bug section is furthest away, but even that is no more than a 5-7 minute walk.

If you get the way back section of the Mighty Ducks then you are right across the street from Music ( I don't know room or bldg. #'s). We walked over to Music from Movies more than once to get the girls hair wraps & glitter tatoos (the guy was sick when we were at Movies so they told us to go to Music). We also would get off the bus at Music and walk to Movies as it would be closer.

The Might Ducks are in the middle, just south of Melody Lane, with the trapezoidal pool in-between. Melody Hall (and its bus stops on the east side of the building) at Music are just to the north of them.

In fact, the farthest rooms in Ducks are closer to Melody Hall than pretty much every building at Music except Calypso (which are Preferred at Music).
