Help, Need OKW Suggestions

We will be staying at OKW from Nov 23 - Dec 3. After looking at the resort map I see that it is increadibly spread out. I have heard stories from people that say you need to have a car because everything is so far apart. Here is some info to go on.

2 Adults 1 Child
Staying in a studio
Close to bus stop.
Quiet, not near a major road.
Restaurant not important to be near. We usually eat in the parks.
Pool fairly close would be nice

So if anyone can help.
sSuggest a specific building?
How many floors in building? What floor to stay on?

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Well Im glad you asked. There are two locations that I would suggest to you.

a) Turtle Pond. building 32ish....i like 2nd or 3rd floor only cuz u get a balcony instead of being right next to the dirt. the only problem with this building is that there is no elevator. but definately Turtle Pond, it has the 2nd biggest pool in the resort. the only real reason i suggested something close to 32 is becuz that is right next to the bus stop.

b)Peninsular. If you stay here you will be pretty close to the bus stop (i mean nothings too far away), and you will be right near the hospitality house. that stop includes the big pool with slide, olivia's (Restaurant), and a bunch of recreational activities.
All the major roads in OKW stay really quiet, its very peaceful so you dont have to worry about nething. You dont need a car, the bus system is wonderful and there are internal resort shuttles every so often to take you to other parts of the resort. I hope you have a great time, i know i do! *gotta love OKW! if you have anymore questions just ask.
Best Wishes
Garrett

See, now I have a totally different suggestion.

We ALWAYS stay in South Pointe, building 47, first floor. If you plan to bring your own stroller, or even if you don't and know you will be carrying the child after they tucker out on the bus, the first floor is a must. Even though this is on the main drag, it is so far down, and off the road, you can't hear any road noise. Beware those buildings next to the MAIN road.

We have stayed in several of the buildings around South Pointe, and actually, building 53 is also very good. The pool in this area (for 47 and 53) is behind 56 which is very close to both buildings.

We have stayed at OKW 6 times I think, even though we don't own there. Its our favorite!

PhilharMagician - I sent you a PM.

simply and easy, building 13, on the backside is a golf course and the front is the bus stop but the trees and a small hill keep the sound away, we stayed there in 2003 and it was great, good luck just request that building and you won't regret it.

I agree 100%. I stayed in building 11 just this past trip and must say it's the best location I've been at. I think I have stayed in just about every location on the property and the building 11-15 range is by far the best location.

Here's why: you are within about 500 feet of the last bus stop so you can go right to the stop and go from there. Also, the main pool is just around the corner, about a 5 minute walk away. Also, the area is very tranquil, unlike the units that run along Lake Bunea Vista Dr.
