My parents in law are going with my sister in law and her family to Disney in mid-November. They are booking separately and probably staying at different hotels. My SIL has already booked, my MIL and FIL have not yet. My parents in law haven't been to Disney since the early 90's, don't own smart phones, and are technological idiots. They've asked me to help them, while my SIL does not want (though probably needs) any advice. Unfortunately, because my daughter is special needs, we aren't going back for a few years so I haven't been following all of the FP+ things too closely. I really apologize if these questions have been answered earlier:
1. MIL and FIL will get magic bands in the mail and 90 (or is it 180?) days out from their arrival can make FP+ reservations from their 2003 relic of a computer. All reservations are "held" on the magic band, so as long as they know where and when they have reservations for, they don't need a smart phone. Do I have this correct? If they forget, can they look them up at a park kiosk? If they need to change them on the fly, can they do so from a park kiosk?
2. Whats the best way to ensure that they get the same FP+ time slots as my SIL and her family? I'm assuming that they just have to find out what she booked and then try to find the same? Is there anyway for one person to make FP+ reservations for both parties to ensure that they can ride together?
3. Out of curiosity (and I don't foresee this happening), lets say my MIL wants to get a FP+ for Splash Mountain and my FIL wants to get a FP+ for Haunted Mansion at the same time. Is this possible or do all people on the reservation need to have the same FP+ rides?
Thanks so much everyone!
