Bringing a family of six to WDW this June. It looks like two connecting rooms is the most affordable way to do it. Leaning towards Coronado or Carribbean; but would love to stay at the Beach Club. The BC pools looks great but not sure I can justify paying 388/nt (x2 rooms) vs 205 at Coronado. I know the pool at CS is good, better than Carribbean but not as good as BC. But how does the transportation stack up? Long bus lines? Long bus rides? What about transportation between resorts?

I like room size at Carribbean but worry about the few food choices...eating at same place all the time gets old. I know BC is clearly the best, any feedback on the other two vs each other?

cant say about the other two but we really enjoyed Coronado springs, the rooms are nicely themed the main pool is awesome the food courts good as is the rix lounge.we never had a long wait for the buses, but we tended to use our car during the day and buses at night,we would definitely stay there again

I preferred, by far, Coronado to Carribean. Bus service was efficient, food court was great, and my 4 year old son loved, did I say LOVED the pool! There's a long slide that was a lot of fun, he must have went on it about 20 times (in one morning!). Carribean was ok, but we experienced long waits for the bus and I did not like the food court (not enough choices early in the morning, slow service, weird and inefficient disposition of counters, etc.). Hope this helps!

Not gonna lie- the pool at the Yacht/Beach Club (Stormalong Bay) is really incredible, and it's a nicer resort than either Caribbean Beach or Coronado, but for a long stay with multiple rooms it's a pretty steep price. Unless your trip is going to have long amounts of down time at your resort itself, so that you can enjoy the amenities, you're going to need to think three times about the price.

Coronado and Caribbean Beach both have decent feature pools (and several smaller "quiet" pools) but I'd give the slight edge to Caribbean Beach, just for having a more interesting layout. Coronado Springs' pool, the Dig Site, does have a really cool vibe, though, what with the huge pyramid, and it's an especially neat spot to hang out at night.

Other than the pool, Coronado is a nicer resort all all-around, especially the in-room furnishings. The Transportation situation isn't great at either resort, but at least they both have pleasant, covered bus stop areas. Depending which zone you're staying in, outgoing or incoming buses may make multiple stops inside the resort before getting to your particular stop, which can be annoying until you get used to it. I've never really seen "lines" at either resort, though- except perhaps at El Centro at Coronado. Most of the time you can just sit and relax on the benches until your bus gets there.

I'd give Coronado the edge unless you're looking for one of the special themed rooms at Caribbean Beach. It really felt like Mexico/Southwest and El Centro, The Pepper Market and The Dig Site all really nice places to enjoy. These are big resorts, and staying in deluxes mostly, that will be most evident.

I haven't stayed at Caribbean Beach yet, but I have stayed at all of the other Mods. I can say that Coronado is my favorite so far. I love the theme and the grounds are beautiful to walk around. The pools shape isn't very inspiring but the pyramid is a sight to behold and the slide was a lot of fun. The rooms are nicely furnished with dark woods and nice blue green accents. The food court is comparable to any others on property and the table service restaurant was good and never crowded. Coronado is a large convention hotel so it's not unusual to see people in business attire walking the lobby or sitting at the bar at night. I really enjoyed Cabana 8A. It's right by the pool, bus stop, and a fairly close walk to the main building.

I have stayed at Caribbean and Coronado. Both great resorts but I enjoy Caribbean better because it has more of a vacation feel. Coronado Springs has a lot of conventioneers that can tend to get a little rowdy. But they are all great and if you can afford Beach Club go for it you never know what the future brings this might be your only opportunity.

Beach Club has a better location due to quick access to both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios via a short boat ride. Of course, you still have to take the bus for MK or AK. However, with the better pool, restaurants and boat transport to two parks... Beach Club is way better.

Are you not down at all for staying somewhere either than these two? We went last September, there was 6 of us - my husband, my mother, my 22 yr old daughter, my 16 yr old daughter, my 7 yr old son and of course myself and we stayed comfortably at Art of Animation in a family suite. We did not feel cramped at all. We're going again sans my mother and oldest daughter but we will actually be trying a Cabin at Fort Wilderness this time.

Thanks for the comments. I ended up booking the Boardwalk. The location, pool, and entertainment for the price was very good. It was only $300 more overall than the Coronado.
