Help!!! Lost tickets....

Hey everyone,

I'm going to WDW in October and have made all my reservations, etc. Got my 5-day park hopper plus pass delivered to me in the mail and also my La Nouba Pass. Being the neurotic that I am I photocopied these passes and also took copies of the serial numbers on the back and also have kept the receipts/letters that came in the envelopes with the passes.

Was glad that I did cos while I was in Italy managed to lose them/have them stolen when my passport pouch went missing. Thought it would be a breeze to get them replaced with all this info but Disney has been incredibly unhelpful. I have emailed them twice and they haven't said "no", but only that they haven't been able to determine an answer to my question.

Has anyone ever experienced this before or does anyone have any helpful suggestions? Do you think that it wiould be easier to get them replaced when I show up to Disney in person? In the grand scheme of things I think that my travel insurance would pay for the cost of replacing them but it would be easier to not have to go through the hassle of buying new tickets and then making an insurance claim.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I don't really know for sure...since this has never happened to me...but when I purchased the annual passes the CM told me that if I were to lose the pass to go to Guest Relations and they would give me another pass (I thought it was weird since I remember reading that they were not responsible for lost tickets...but hey I guess if everyone knew that they could replace their lost tickets then they wouldn't take care of them).

I think that since you have all that great documentation, that you shouldn't have a problem once you go to the parks (I think they'll just replace the lost tickets...but then again I'm not sure). The best option would be to CALL them and speak with someone directly....this is Disney so if you can talk with someone directly and explain your situation then chances are things are going to turn out alright.

I hope everything turns out fine. GOODLUCK!

I tend to agree with objr. Even though it will cost a fortune to call from New Zealand, I would try to contact a real person (and, given your tendency towards thoroughness, you will get his/her name)

I would try to get an address to which you could send real mail, which I think gets a better response than e-mail. Then you should get a real letter back that you can add to your documentation.

Good luck with this!

You have all the correct papers but you should have gotten this taken care of when you where in the parks ASAP.Since you have taken so long Im sure your tickets have been used they can tell you that buy the numbers.I think your out of luck, this is something that needs to be done at guest relations as soon as possible so they can make those tickets invalid.

I don't think it would be a problem. We have AP's, not 5 day hoppers (I don't know if that would make a difference), and we had forgotten them one time when we went. All we had to do was call and explain the situation and they re-issued new ones to us. We did not have to have any papers, or anything like that, just our ID's.
Just like everyone else, I think you should call, they will most likely re-issue them, and you can pick them up at guest relations when you arrive.

I don't think you'll have a problem when you get to Disneyunless someone uses the tickets before you get there. If the tickets were lost I wouldn't worry but if they were stolen someone may have sold them (E-Bay?).

We went to WDW in July and bought AP passes. We are going again over Christmas and for some reason we cannot find the passes. I called Disney and they said they can replace them at guest relations at one of the parks. And there is no cost to us to have them replaced. Call Disney and see what they say about your tickets.

I could not find my AP either, and all I needed to show was an ID and in 2 minutes I had a new Pass

I understood he/she lives in New Zealand and bought everything online and had them mailed to NZ. Then lost them in Italy when the pouch got stolen. Am I right?

I wish you luck... I am not sure what to tell you because calling Guest Relations from NZ will cost a lot of money, and since you have all that info, maybe scan them and send them online to someone directly could be easier.

Ouch! True... :(

The reason its so easy to replace Annual and Seasonal Passes is because at the time of purchase, your name, address and DL is taken. Your name is printed on the Ticket, and the bone density scan are taken.

All you do is show your license, and youve got a replacement. With the park hopper pass, I dont believe your name and information is taken (at least I dont think) so the only way to replace is with the copy that she has. I dont think it will be a problem as long as they were not used.

This past July while purchasing an annual pass for a friend of mine, the family next to us had lost there 5 day hopper passes. They were basically told they were out of luck. I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule, but it does state on the pass that Disney is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. The only way to find out though is to make the call.

I know for a fact that you can get hopper passes replaced!!!!:sohappy: I purchased a 5 day park hopper in September of 2002 when I didn't live next door to Disney World. When My husband and I moved down I wanted to trade my hopper pass into an annual pass. I could not find it. I called Walt Disney reservations which is the number on the back of my Disney Club card. I had made my hotel reservations through them and then purchased my 5 day park hoppers through them. It was NOT the ultimate hopper as I had three days left and they never expired. I had no numbers from the back of my ticket like you because I didn't think to write them down :veryconfu The lady on the phone gave me a number and said to give it to any guest relations at any of the four parks and they would replace it for me. They replaced it and I turned around and exchanged it for a premium annual pass. They would have replaced it for me even if I wasn't going to upgrade.

You should have no problem getting new ones when you get to the parks. I would call and speak to some one first. This is the 1-800 number I called 1-800-933-3975.:)

Thanks....

Thanks for the help and suggestions everyone. Doesn't actually cost that much to call from NZ, but I have been hesitating about doing it because they always have so much trouble understanding the kiwi accent! Guess I just have to phone up and grin and bear the painful conversation though.

Am fairly confident that the folks who took it were probably petty thieves looking for cash with a distinct lack of English so doubt if they will have been sold/used, but there's only one way to find out.

Anyways, thanks again for the help and I'll let you know how it goes.

Don't know if this will help you or not, but I know that if I buy tickets here at a Disney Store in the mall, the receipt they give has the ID code of the ticket they sold you on it.

They instruct the guests to keep the receipt separately from their ticket in case they lose the tickets.

By bringing in the receipt, they can void the original ticket number if it has not been used yet and issue a new one with no problem!

Don't even ask how I know this.....:lookaroun

Another great reason to shop at the Disney Store!

Ticket

Unless the policy has changed I do not believe you will receive new tickets. My parents lost their tickets while at the parks. They were purchased from Dixie Landings and the computer showed them buyining them, but they said there was nothing they could do and they had to buy additional passes. Sorry for the bad news. Again, this policy could have changed.

We were at Disneyworld a couple years ago and my teenage son lost his 5 day park hopper pass on the second day. We just went to guest relations and explained the situation and showed our passes and they replaced his with no problems.

Again, we were on site so maybe phone calls don't work.

When we purchases our tickets at Shades of Green a couple of years ago, the lady we bought them from reccomended we copy down the info on the back. She said Disney would NOT replace them, BUT if we had the numbers and begged and pleaded they have been known to do it.
So my advice would be, be persistant. Even if you get a no on the phone, ask again in person.

Good luck!
