For the surprise - I thought of this last night. Do you have the Disney Hedbanz game? You can make an overlay on one of the cards that has a picture of the castle and the words "You're Going to Disneyworld?". When he exhausts his guesses tell him to look at the card!
thats such a good iddeaa!

We don't have that game but that sounds like a lot of fun. I had thought to do an extended scavenger hunt. The six days leading to the trip I'm going to have him go through a small hunt to find an envelope with letters. Each envelope for each day will spell out one word and have two extra letters. On the day we leave the word will be "TODAY" and then he'll use the extra letters from each envelope over the 6 days to spell "DISNEY". So at the end he'll have the following sentence.... Colin we are going to Disney today. I wanted to do something that was exciting and fun and explosive but I can't think of anything.

I was wondering about Magical Express also.

I like to buy autograph books and T-shirts beforehand so you are ready to go first thing when you get there. I hate having to scramble to buy an atugraph book because my girls always seem to see a character they want to talk to first thing.

Do you want to surprise your son beforehand? I have heard of people doing a scavenger hunt with clues slowly revealing they were going to Disney. If you want to wait until the day of, you can have his bag already packed and loaded then just drive to the airport and reveal you are going to Disney. That would be super fun!
I could not hold it in! I am the biggest kid of the bunch! We have a poster with a count down numbers on and we daily change the numbers and just stick them back up with poster putty. I have gathered all the Disney movies we have alailable and we start watching all of those so we are up to date on the movies. These are great for rainy days and instead of reruns!
