Help !!!! Gift card question

I have a simple question . Can I tie a Disney gift card to my Magic Band ? Or only a credit card ?

Technically you can’t do either.

If you are an onsite guest you can link a CC to your room. Your magic band will charge back to your room, and at a certain point they will run your card.

But you can go to the front desk at any time and pay down your balance with a gift card.

No to the gift card.

As for a credit card you must be staying in a Disney resort and the credit card is tied to your room reservation and your magic band is tied to your room reservation and you can charge back to your room via the magic band.
If you want you could pay down your charges via a gift card at the front desk every couple days however I personally don't do that as I see it as an additional step.


Good news is that when mobile ordering you can use a credit card, Disney rewards redemption card, or a gift card.

There are some limits though to using a gift card, or were. The situation may have improved since last used it, but previously you could only use one gift card per order. If, let's say, your order was $20, but your gift card only has $11 left, the remaining $9 would go to a cc charge. SO, bigger $$$ gift cards are somewhat easier to use when doing mobile order (or were) than the small $25 ones.

There is a official Disney gift card website that allows you to link gift cards together and check balances. Mind, the terms of the webpage recently changed. I'm not sure of the specifics. I think you can still re-load gift cards and combine them, there are just more limits on how you can combine/use them, but I have not used it.

Yes, they can be used in all the places a gift card can.
