My family is going to be at WDW from 9/27-10/1. We are already making our dining reservations. So far we have decided to eat at Boma (my personal favorite), Le Cellier, and Chefs de France. We need one more restaurant, and we want it to be one that we haven't eaten at. All five of us have very different tastes in food. Such as I love fish, but my mom won't touch it. My grandmother likes traditional, home-style cooking, and my dad loves trying new things. We are considering the following choices:
Liberty Tree Tavern
Cap'n Jacks
Wolfgang Puck
Raglan Road
Kona Cafe
Restaurant Marrakesh
Cape May Cafe
Concourse Steakhouse
Spoodles

Any opinions you have on the following restaurants would help us out.

Thanks in advance!

Liberty Tree Tavern is a particular favourite. Plus, dinner is a character meal, if that's important to you. No seafood at the dinner, but there is definitely some traditional food (turkey, roast beef, corn, mashed potatoes, mac 'n' cheese, apple cobbler, etc.). Your dad might appreciate the strawberry vinaigrette dressing, which is out of this world!

Have you looked at 50's Prime Time Cafe? They have a pretty good variety and your grandmother might get a kick out of it if she's the 'playful' type.:D

Love LTT for lunch and especially dinner. We like the Kona Kafe for breakfast and lunch. We always eat at Marrakesh when we are in EPCOT, the food is different without being extreme and the belly dancer doesn't hurt. :lookaroun
Loved Cape May Cafe for their seafood buffet and there were enough other choices to appease our non fish eaters. The Concourse Steakhouse is good for breakfast and dinner, we have never had a bad meal there and you can watch the monorail go by. My family really didn't like the offereings at Spoodles, but they are picky eaters. Everything there looked good to me.

Have you given any thought to Artist Point for a special dinner? Or maybe the Whispering Canyon Cafe for their all you care to eat breakfast or dinner skillets?

I will agree to that one. I loved it there and every time I go back to MGM Studios, I always ask to go there. (I am planning on taking my friend to their in November, which will be her second time to Disney with me in her life.)

We have eaten at 50's Prime Time before, but we had a waiter so I feel like we kind of got jipped out of the experience. I will suggest it though. We are thinking about eating at Liberty Tree before MNSSHP. We also did Whispering Canyon 2 years ago. The problem is I want to eat at Marrakesh, Dad wants to eat at Raglan, my grandmother just wants something to eat, and my mother wants to eat everywhere haha. Thanks for the input from everyone.

Well...you've got EPCOT covered already, so how about dinner at the Magic Kingdom one night?

Liberty Tree Tavern is one of my favoprite places to eat. The food is awesome and the characters are great!

Your group should have no problem with the food here, as it is delicious turkey, roast pork, and all the trimmings! :slurp:

It will fit into your plans well if you are doing the Halloween Party because you will already be there! :sohappy:

HAVE FUN!

Out of your list I would suggest Concourse Steakhouse or Cape May Cafe for dinner.

The Cape May has the clambake at night that does have a land lover side.
My husband does not like fish, so he ate the land lover food and loved it.
Concourse has a nice variety and is very good.

Good luck in your choices and have a wonderful trip!

Out of all your options, Spoodles is the only place I've eaten (man, I gotta get out more...) but it's also one of my favorite restaurants, like, anywhere. So that's my suggestion.
Ooh, ooh! California Grill is really good, too!

I haven't been to any of the other places but you can get Wolfgang Puck anywhere now. Well, it may not be in your area just yet but they are popping up all over! I would forgo it.

Yeah, I really agree with you about Wolfgang Puck.

Has anyone even eaten at Raglan? My dad isn't exactly crazy about WDW ( I don't get it either) and he is really going for the Food & Wine Festival. I've heard that Raglan's has a lot on tap so I think he would enjoy that. I just haven't heard anything about it. Other than that we are leaning towards LTT or Concourse.

WDW has 3 separate WP dining experiences at DTD. I am referring to the dining room which is the upstairs formal area in the cafe which offers more elaborate cuisine. I don't know of any of his eateries here in Jersey. I did not care for his Express food though when I tried it.

Meega, nala kwishta!
I've eaten at about half those places (Liberty Tree Tavern, Kona Cafe, Restaurant Marrakesh, Spoodles). I would suggest out of you list LTT or Spoodles. Both are excelent.

Might I suggest one off the list...Flying Fish. It has got to be one of the best places to eat at WDW. They do have non-fish menu items, so everyone can enjoy. And the food and service are top notch.

Have fun!

I want to thank everyone for their help on deciding what restaurants to eat at for our trip in September. I called and made reservations last night. Here is the final list:
September 28: Liberty Tree Tavern (we couldn't get in for the night of MNSSHP)
September 29: Chefs de France (we have early dinner reservations so we can head to MNSSHP)
September 30: a late lunch at Le Cellier which is fine because we decided to go around eating at different vendors for dinner at the Food & Wine Festival
October 1: Concourse Steakhouse

We decided not to do Boma so we could do three new restaurants instead of two.
