Hello WDW people :)

Ok so im "THINKING" of a trip say febuaray 2013( still the planing stages mind you) I know most of you dont know me so a little background. I make slightly above minimum wage at 11:65 an hour, I work for the largest entertainment company in the world and Im thinking of going to WDW.
Now that being said, I work about 35-40 hours per week and pay out about 25in medical, 106 in loans and then just regular bills. My entertainment dollar is 15 bucks a month and thats it, ANYWAYS lol, I want to go to WDW and i live in CA. SO air fare is about 300-400 depending when.
So if you were in my situation going alone, yes alone :( where would you stay? years ago i stay at the ASsports and ASMovies, my biggest worry is the bus back as those three share the same bus.
Now i will say im pretty good at saving money, right now im saving for a car so that might get in the way of my trip, but im able to get in free to the parks while im there( i think the water parks too) so basically it will be room, meal plan which is cheap and plane.
his may all be s vague its late out here and i should be in bed ready for work on saturday, but i thought id come here and see what i could find out.

Hello CA, Hey that's where my sister in law stays,Los Angeles.Oops,Iam off the beaten track. Now we've been 5 times to WDW infact just back from our trip.We always stay at mods, but if I had a choice of value,I would opt for POP CENTURY. The ratings it gets on various sites are very high compared to the ALL resorts.Would be worth looking into.:)

Sounds like you have it figured out, with the meal plan you seem to be set for food, you can take the ME to the resort, I too vote for POP and I don't know if you have time for this but I have a little part time under the table paying job that is strictly for Disney trips. For me it really helps to have a goal like a trip so that I don't spend the cash I get, I would say 95% of that money goes right in the bank every week. I'm jealous wish I had done a solo trip and it is on my bucket list. Have fun.

Hi there! Welcome! RMH is right - Pop is a great choice. However, unless things have changed, to purchase the meal plan, you must get the MYW package and that requires you to purchase 1 park ticket, which you said you don't need. It is my understanding that you can not buy room and dining. A ticket must be part of the package. PS - my DH and I are planning a trip in Sept 13 to DL!

That's correct, you do need to purchase at least a one day park ticket to get the Disney dining plan, if that's the meal plan you were talking about. To be honest, you can probably eat cheaper just paying out of pocket, especially on a solo trip. Just take a look at the menus on this site and make a budget for yourself.
For the hotel, I absolutely recommend Pop. It's my favorite value resort. It doesn't share buses, the food court is great, and I just love the atmosphere there.
Don't be sad about going solo, it's fabulous!
