I leave the hello and goodbyes for the my wife and daughter. But my daughter makes fun of me b/c I have a couple of favorite parking spots in the handicapped area I always like to try and use. One is the last spot near the bus stops at Epcot. Even if we take the monorail over from MK she will look and say dad your spot is open.

In a perfect scenario its MK & MK. With that said, where we start all depends on when the flight arrives, dinner ( dining plan can hold you hostage at times), park hours, etc. For example: in 2009 we did not fly in until late. Epcot was the only park open that night so we scoot over there for a few hours. Last year it was MK. Early arrival and late hours - bingo.

Last night is always MK. At times it may not be a full day but the castle is the last thing I look at as we walk out of the park that night. To me the vacation is offically over then.

Up until this last trip in April our last park had to be Epcot because we always get "cake of the day" to go from the bakery in France, it was always the same chocolate cake. We even have a special carry on insulated bag for the plane trip home. After the remodel they no longer have the chocolate cake in France. Guess we'll have to try the main street bakery or Boardwalk bakery next time

I'm not OCD about the order of parks to visit, but I am OCD about which snacks to eat. It depends on which park I'm in at the end of the day. Whenever it's time for the park to close and head back to the hotel, I have to make sure I'm eating a certain snack from that park on the way out.

Like, if I'm watching Illuminations, I'm eating a basket of fish 'n' chips. During Fantasmic, I'm eating either a giant pickle and a pretzel with cheese sauce. For MK, it's a giant pickle, and DAK, i'm eating out of a take-out box from Yak and Yeti. I think it's because I'm sad that the day is over, and I have to stuff my face to keep from crying :( but then I feel better after jumping in the pool at the hotel :D

My wife says that I am OCD (I happen to disagree, I just like things where they should be so that they can easily be found later on). :)

As for WDW, when we hit the parks all depends on EMH's, ADR's and any associated tours/shows that we are going to do. Typically the last night we finish up at MK or Epcot as those tend to stay open the latest in the evenings and watching Wishes/Illuminations is a great way to cap off a trip to the World.

I used to do Epcot first and then MK later in the day or next day. I still wanted there to be some anticipation even though we were already there. Back then, SSE was my first ride and PoTC was my last. Now, the wife and I just do whatever we feel like doing for the day. However, whenever we leave Epcot or MK, I will get a "last look" at that park's icon and leave. It also used to $uck passing the turnstiles on the way out. The next kick in the pants was on the monorail as you approach the TTC and hear them say, ..."if this concludes your visit....". Lastly, its when Mickey reminds you to buckle up on the way out. Unfortunately, while WDW is still very special to me, the steady decline doesn't make it bother me as much when I leave. Maybe its just me.

For me, it's always Epcot as my first park and Hollywood Studios as my last park. I know everyone likes to do the MK first but I like to wait a bit and get comfortable with the WDW environment for a while before I jump right into the MK. I don't want to overwhelm myself too much too soon and with the MK, well, that's probably the easiest park to get stressed, at least for me because I have to fit in time meeting my favorite characters while wanting to be able to go on all my favorite rides! Why Epcot first? Well, it's easy to plan for me. Future World in the morning, World Showcase in the afternoon.

The hello park depends on when we get there and what day of the week it is. The goodbye park is usually Epcot because we leave in the middle of the day and can easily get back to our resort from there since we're either at Beach Club or Boardwalk by the end of the trip. Rarely do we finish up elsewhere. My brother used to insist that the first ride in MK be the People Mover (which I dubbed the blue ride at age 4. Small World was called Dolls at age 4. A crescent moon was called a Cheshire cat moon).
