Trip Report HELLO DORIAN pluses by two more visits to the Coronado, we should have stock in United Airlines

Well my impression of the tower at Coronado is mixed. It is beautiful. Actually the most Elegant Disney Resort I’ve been in. Similar in style and class of the Dolphin. I love it

The Rub is it is a difficult resort for those with mobility issues. Getting off the Magical Express is a long up hill ramp which wouldn’t phase any energetic guest. The staircases inside and out are large steep ones. If you have done online check in the ramp down. Using a cart or wheel chair is a long ramp down and a long ramp through the bus loop. Having an ankle issue it was problematic. You can detour to elevators but it adds to the route. The issue is the tower sit so high at main entrance vs the balance of the resort.

An upside is there is a separate Magical Express area and an indoor luggage checkin.

Downside food at quick service is limited and not very good. I’ve had better consistently at Pop and POR. BUT IT IS AN AMAZING Tower full out beautiful.

So a mixed review at first blush

Sadly the quick service has yet to find any quality. We went Mexican bowls. One BBQ and one Carnita. Both similar to bad cafeteria food. Chipotle worlds better.

Given the investment and conventional per deims Disney needs to step up the quality.

Coronado needs to rework their check in It is so pretty but too squishy. They also need more CMs. From landing until check in 3 freakin hours. Longer than the flight from Chicago

The CM couldn’t find magic bands. Not their individual fault but come on people

So off to EPCOT. Up next Empty Epcot on a Friday evening during F&W. Lovely night

So we slept in this morning. Coronado has incredibly comfy mattresses now.

Love night stand with cord outlets and spotlight to read by. I want that!

We had bagels and muffins as we are already over the quick service at the Coronado. Ate our pastries from grab and go in there. Disney did tone down the decor with the last rehab and name change that helps with More atranquil for a relaxing resort.

Off to the Studios late morning. Didn’t have good bus karma

People are getting cranky about canceling flights out. Like Front desk can fix a hurricane

Spend the first part of day in Toy Story. Love the theme We were able to ride twice as it is my DD favorite attraction

As I predicted the wall would come down in Toy Story to Poke you directly in and out of both lands. Helped!!!

There was the umbrella queue set up to leave Toy and enter the vertual
Star War Queue but was not necessary. It really isn’t crowded. We walked through The StarWars land It’s style of imagineering is very similar to both FoP and the load zone for the elevators in ToT with a touch of load zone of Dinosaur

My other kids vacation starts Monday we will wait on his arrival to explore

It started to tinkle to we ducked into Muppets
And all time favorite of my family. Muppets were a thing when my family was young.

Just long enough and the sun was out.

Off to lunch at the Commissary

This quick service has become better. It is nice and chilly and we were warm.

Themed carpeting and real palm trees that grow out of the floor.

We both enjoyed our carved chicken sandwiches from the kids menu as it is carved not lunch meat. Comes with a small drink and several sides. I subbed out fries and apples for fresh green beans and slaw but they also gave me sliced apples that I gave to a Mom next to me with kids whining about the food wait Meal Cost $6.99 each

Bonus they no longer fill you soda Disney put in a self service. Easy Refills for soda a filtered water

We ended Park 1 Studios with a final Mania ride. 3 times for my DD

And off to the MK by way of Grand Floridian first. It was humid more than hot and the bus wasn’t cool.

We just sat down to eat at Pacos Bills and the lights went in and out. Music didn’t return.

This was a combined dinner cost of $11 for two people. This is my tray.

When we left PB only around 6 rides were open. We headed for Jungle with our anytime pass.

When we were finished most rides finished cycling through their rest.

A few never returned like Dwarf Space Splash and Dumbo. But with an empty park we had plenty to do and a fun night.
