Height requirements?

I know but what could we do, rules are rules :veryconfu

I agree and if that's the judgement call they made, I would be fine with it too. (No one wants to put their kid in danger). But the way they did it was a little cruel. My son would be very sad if someone toyed with his emotions like that.

They can be very strict. My daughter measured 40" at both outside measurement bars for Test Track. We waited in line, got to the front and the CM said she wasn't tall enough, her head was literally less than 1/16 of an inch away from the top of that inside measuring bar. I was NOT happy that I got the ok from both outside CMs and waited in line just to be turned away because the inside bar is the final measurement and apparently the only one that counts. 40 inches is 40 inches, inside or out they need to make sure every bar is exactly the same or if anything slightly shorter on the outside so you don't waste time waiting for a ride that your child won't be able to get on. It could avoid alot of hassle and tears of a disappointed child. So if your child is that close, wear sneakers and be aware that just because you get the ok from the CMs outside doesn't mean he'll get on, necessarily. I wish i would have know that and I would have had her wear her sneakers instead of flats that day, then there wouldn't have been a problem.

I know this sounds ridiculous, but I measured him today and he has to grow about 1/16 of an inch each week until our trip if he's going to meet that height requirement. I'm making sure he drinks his milk every day. :)

We've been waiting for him to be able to go on these rides since he was born and I'm really hoping it happens for this trip. Of course, if it doesn't happen, well then I guess we'll just have to go back in the spring. :drevil:

I hope he makes it!! He'll love it there!

Exactly

The rule is the rule, and quite possibly (especialy in this economic environment) may be the CM's job - or at least a demerit.

When my youngest daughter was 4 or 5 she was just tall enough to get on Space Mountain and Mission Space. They would not let her on EE though. Supposedly all the same 44" requirement. She was basicly exactly 44" - I can see where it was a judgement call by the CM, and the EE said no. No big deal, so we went next trip.

Good to know. Thanks for the info. I'll definitely make sure he wears his sneakers every day we plan on going on these kinds of rides. I suppose I should also have a good back up plan in place just in case he doesn't make it.
