Heated Pools - question

We like to go to disney @ Christmas - are there any resorts with truly heated pools?

Yes all the WDW pools are heated. You will see the steam rising off them on the cooler days and nights.

Ah OK. Disney are very regimented on these things, and my guess would be all are set to the same temperature, or very close.

Same for the UK.
I was swimming at the boardwalk when all the lifeguards had big winter coats on. I don't think they would have been much help with them on.

I was comfortable swimming at POFQ in mid February. It's the drying off you have to worry about!

We had a number of days between the upper 20s to upper 40s with wind chills down in the teens for our Dec 2010 trip...the pools looked like giant steam clouds, but we did see a few people swimming on the slightly warmer days. Last Nov. we also had a few days in the 40s and saw people swimming those days as well. Soooooo, a bit too chilly for our tastes, but you likely wouldn't be the lone swimmers if you wanted to swim on a "cooler" day in December.

No sorry I meant outside temp in the 70's is still too cold for me even in a heated pool.

Yep they are heated. It is fun to swim around in the water when it the air temp is a little chilly. Especially at the resorts that have a hot tub you can run to after a dip in the pool. It is neat to see all the steam rise, it gets a little fog like.

When we were there in early Nov. 2011 they were heated and it was heavenly first thing in the morning.

The water in the pool isn't the problem. Getting out of the water in the winter air can be quite, shall we say invigorating?

^That^ The pools are comfortable to swim in, but have your towel close when you get out! We were swimming in December and it was maybe 60 degrees out and no sun with a slight breeze. Brrr

In December when our loch is frozen,once you break the ice,it's lovely..

The water is heated and very comfortable...

...but the air isn't. If it's 45 degrees and you're soaking wet, you're going to be COLD when you get out!

The pools are all heated to 82 degrees. That's still cool for me but not some people, but that's the fact.

I have been swimming at WDW in Dec, Jan, and Feb; although usually during the day. A great deal of your comfort will depend on the temps outside. I would plan on having a nice fluffy robe to put on getting out of the pool.
