HEA getting blurry

Nope. Opening night was the place holder until the intended fireworks arrive. During the first week I happen to met and get to talk to the show director.

Well then, the new finale pyro is weak. It's like the finale they would do for Believe in Holiday Magic.

Watched HEA tonight. Definitely some blurry sections especially near the lower part of the castle, less of the special fireworks, and Tink did not fly tonight for some reason. Very little wind so not sure why she didn't go. It was still awesome though even with all that. Lol!

A lot of recent videos of HEA have a Tink-less finale. I wonder why.

That's not good. I hope they aren't phasing her out or something. My wife said she thought she saw her getting ready to go and then just didn't...so maybe her lights didn't work or something else malfunctioned at the last minute??? I didn't see anyone up there and I was standing right next to my wife so I'm not sure if she was just seeing things. Anyway, I need Tinkerbell in my life so hopefully this is a very temporary thing.

It could be completely coincidental and all of those videos could have been filmed on windy days but I don't remember Tinkerbell in Wishes having this many problems flying. Could be wrong though. Hopefully it is just wind and there's nothing else that's keeping Tink from flying.

She definitely flew on Saturday night, so at least we know she is flying.

This is the correct response. Also, possible foundation movement.... j/k.
Actually not far from it, With rain and weather changes in the past couple of weeks it can create a situation where something may have move, even a millimeter on the projector could mean feet or even more.

Wind, some heavy rain and lighting are some reasons to ground Tink. I know there is a scale on how close a Storm to be that she can't fly, is not like OSHA has her on a zip line made out of metal to glide toward Tomorrowland gracefully and safe. ;-)

Definitely wasn't wind last night but that might explain some of the recent videos. Maybe someone said they didn't believe in ferries and she just wasn't feeling that well as a result lol! I'll be back in the next few days so hopefully she'll be back as well.

I doubt the intended fireworks have even arrived now. The fireworks are ordered 8-16 months ahead of time, and seeing as HEA was rushed from concept to final show in less than 6 months, they are still using up the left over Wishes shells. I've heard from multiple sources that the current finale is not the intended one - just one to use up the Wishes fireworks.

Definitely sounds like the projector may have moved ever so slightly which is causing the blurriness. Was there a storm nearby? There are a lot of reasons Tink can't fly (since she is flying on a metal wire!).

No storm to speak of. I have a feeling it was just a fluke though. If I didn't have friends coming over tonight I'd go back just to see if she flies. Hopefully we can get back soon in the next few days though.

Very strange. I'd hazard a guess that it there was probably a performer issue then (maybe the scheduled performer didn't turn in or something...). I'm sure Tink will be back soon! :)

Not the best place to ask but I've often wondered why the Tink effect hasn't changed in 30 years. With today's tech you'd think they'd come up with something other than a ziplining 40+ year old stuntman in a Tink costume. Not that it doesn't work, It's just when I see things like a flying Dumbo puppet or that dragon from a few years back; Tink doesn't strike me as all that impressive. She doesn't have a "trail of pixie dust" as she flies and her flight path isn't in the iconic "disney golden arc". Am I being overly-critical? Perhaps. But I think Tinkerbell deserves better.

The way they have her fly at Disneyland is way better imho. I don't need her in a jet pack or anything but something like Disneyland would be great!

She's got way more range of motion at Disneyland, even.

Disneyland definitely has the better effect, as Tinkerbell flies above the castle back and forth. An advantage of having a short castle and a tall mountain next to it

As far as i'm aware, the effect hasn't changed significantly since it started - a performer dressed as Tinkerbell (and yes, i've known of male Tinks too...) is literally pushed from a window at the top of the castle and is caught in a net on top of Tomorrowland Terrace. I'm not sure they'd ever be able to achieve the golden arc, but that'd sure be cool.

The Tink performer is usually a Lady as they need to be small for the area she is send from on the castle. I saw a video some years ago about the safety of the "fall" (and yes they even had a GoPro attached to Tink, and it was just AWESOME). The effect over Disneyland is a bit different as there is a pulley system close to were the original launch area was. She use to fall also over Disneyland, now she flies and also have other friends to show up from time to time.
