Having purchases sent to room?

One thing this leaves out is that they won't deliver any food items, even if they're fully sealed up like boxes of candy or coffee. We discovered that the hard way...

Yup. I found this out when purchasing some bottles of alcohol at EPCOT.

The only downside of resort package delivery we learned from personal experience is making sure that you're actually at your resort when the gift shop s open, instead of being at the parks from rope drop to closing! ;)

The lag and time requirements really made this a deal killer for us. I don't shop for souvenirs at the start of my trip...

That and I think Disney does a horrible job of making people aware of the restrictions ahead of time

Thanks for adding this! We once made the "mistake" of purchasing a beautiful jar of lingonberry preserves (my favorite!) at the Norway Pavilion. Dumbest purchase ever! Not only did I have to carry the heavy jar everywhere with me for the rest of the day (it got a lovely tour), but it dawned on me later that I couldn't fly home with it either (traveling carryon only and afraid the 3-1-1 rule would classify it as a gel/liquid). The CMs in our resort gift shop were kind enough to provide me with small box and some bubble wrap, but I had to pay a significant sum (more than I paid for the jar in the first place) to ship it home! ;)
