Hi Everyone!
:sohappy: Happy New Year!!!: :sohappy:

Are looking to book a 3-day cruise on the Wonder in July and was looking for some advice or anything any past cruisers could tell me. My husband, 5-yr-old son and I are going in July 2004. I previously read somewhere on the old board (I know, that goes back a while) about some cabins which someone was not very pleased with (the view or location or something). We're looking to stay in a Category 5 deluxe stateroom on Deck 7 (middle of the boat). Anyone tell me if that's a good location? I can't see how it couldn't be but wanted to ask. :brick: :D

We're doing the 3-day cruise b/c we're not sure how our son will like being on the water. He's a HUGE Disney freak, like his parents :sohappy: so he should enjoy this as well. Are there any character meals that we should be aware of and do they have priority seatings for those? Again, any advice or help would be appreciated!!!

Thanks and hope you have a DISNEY year all year long!

I've been on DCL 3 times and stayed in a deluxe w/verandah and also the cheapest stateroom on the lowest floor and had a great time in both! You don't spend a lot of time in the stateroom anyways. I can't remember if there is a character b-fast of the 3 day, but I just did the 7 day and we had one. It wasn't something you had to make a p.s. for, everyone was scheduled a character breakfast for a particular restaurant and they gave you a little ticket. -Steph

Hey CHERYL!!!

We did the same thing (tried a 3-day cruise) because we had never been on a cruise before.
Half way through the first day I was wishing we had booked a 7-day trip! WE LOVED IT!!!

Coincidentally, we stayed in the exact same spot you will be staying and the room was great! Category 5 on Deck 7 - middle of ship! It's a GREAT location and the verandah is AWESOME! plus you are near the Activity decks andcan always take the stairs to avoid the elevators!

There are no "character meals" on the 3/4 day cruises, but the charcaters are EVERYWHERE on the ship, with countless opportunities for phots to be taken! They are even on Castaway Cay to greet you! You're gonna love CC. It's beautiful!

Start planning your 7-day cruise for next time!

HAVE FUN!

I've done the 3-day cruise twice and the 7-day once, they are all great! Personally for a 3-day I would get a window, dont spend the extra for a balcony, but if you can spend the extra so your not always in the dark! There a lot of fun and there is so much to see and do. If you go you have to see the Tropical deck party, its awesome

Thank you all so much for your input! It really helped a lot!
We're looking forward to our trip even more!
Any other advice that you might recall later would be greatly appreciated as well!
Kind of bummed that the 3 day doesn't offer a character meal but sounds like there are many other opportunities to meet and greet all our favorites!!!

Thanks again!
