Usually you wisk past the panel and have no time to pursue your inner geek and check it out, this is the panel you see on the wall as you leave Space Mountain on the TTA...as luck would have it the TTA stoped right next to the panel and I happened to have my camera...here's one pic, I have close ups on my site.

I love it. Thanks for sharing. I am glad I am not the only one who likes those things.

OT- On our trip 2 weeks ago we got stopped when we were about to go through the doors to board TGMR. Something had gone wrong and they had to shut it down. I watched as frantic CM's rumaged through the podium trying to find the spiel they needed to say to up date the people waiting. They had this note book with tons of different messages to say to the line. They found the right one and we went out some side doors. My family was upset because we didn't get to ride but I was happy as a clam getting to she this little scene.

I always try to sneak a peek at any control panels. Have even gotten some good photos as well. Once a CM caught me trying to see what he was doing and invited me to step out of line and showed me his panel. I laughed when he said he was a Star Trek geek and when he first got assigned there, thought operating the ride would be more exciting, like being at the helm. But explained that it was a boring pots to be at.

Nice catch! I found something similar in my travels, though this is more accessible.

Being a former attractions CM I still love seeing panels for other attractions. Some are super complicated (TOT, Splash, Everest) and others are mind-numbingly simple (Soarin', The Land) But a lot of them contain a digital readout which displays error messages, intrusions, and general system status. Also there are buttons that are NEVER used by operations, they are only used by maintenance, and generally during third shift. You'd be surprised at how smart some attractions are, and how dumb others are. :D
