Have you ever snuck any adult beverages in or out of the parks?

Just wondering, not that I've done that by putting some rum in with my diet coke in one of the resort mugs, or perhaps by putting an unfinished frozen margarita from Epcot in a paper cup and finished on our walk back to the beach club or the monorail to the MK:rolleyes:

And no, I don't endorse getting drunk.

This is actually a great question. I have never tried to break any rules at Disney at all, but seen others that have. We are both smokers, and dont even smoke in designated smoking areas in MK. (I know, Disney Dorks LOL) Just the thought of a CM saying "excuse me* just gives me chills. I would hate to embarass myself

I can understand and respect that, and I appreciate you not smoking in the non designated areas! Of course it's much easier to catch someone who's smoking rather than someone who might be enjoying a mixed drink. Also I find it funny that at Epcot and DHS they serve alcoholic beverages. They also serve alcoholic beverages on the boardwalk and at the Yacht and Beach Club, yet you can't bring a drink out of the parks to those areas even if you're walking, and you can't walk in to those parks with a drink even if you're walking from one of the Epcot resorts. Kind of silly.

No I've never done it but I would think it would be easy to do if you wanted to. As a teacher we have kids who have been caught with alcohol but its usually after they are inebriated. Very hard to tell what someone is drinking without being very direct.

I hate to even admit we smoke... but are courteous smokers. A few years back, we saw someone stopped by the mouse police (as my husband calls them) trying to enter MK with an adult beverage. I swear, I cringed. LOL Get this.... Boardwalk has alcoholic beverages but no designated smoking areas... so guess who doesnt smoke LOL. I guess to me its just respecting others and in all honesty, to be pulled aside for doing something I shouldn't be doing at Disney, isn't what this girl is all about. :) I just hope those that bend the rules in their favor, don't get caught.... how embarassing

I never thought of trying to smuggle a drink OUT of EPCOT...they never last that long with me. A friend once admonished me that he had to buy the 'large' bottles of wine because my sips of wine are equivalent to a gulp.

I haven't tried to get anything into a park either... there is a time for my enjoyment of beverages and there is time to enjoy my parks. I don't feel the need to drink till I am buzzed or worse and lose my enjoyment of park time....

Forgive me for saying this, and I hope I don't offend anyone with my opinion.
If someone is sneaking booze into a place where it isn't allowed, then I would say that person has a problem.
Like, if you can't go a few hours in a theme park without alcohol, you might need to look for some help.
I agree, but I guess people who are on vacation, deem it as a plus I guess

Is this true? If you buy a drink in the WS, you can't leave through the IG with the drink in hand?

what did he do, and why were you embarrassed?
I rarely drink especially out in public... I would rather not talk about what he did... He is divorced from my sister now.. and well you know.....

I once saw a drunk woman drop her 3 year old in Hollywood Studios... I think there is a time and a place for everything and I am not sure the 4 parks is the place.. I believe people need to use control when children are around..... Personal opinion. :)

Didn't mean to bring up any bad memories. And as far as the woman, that's awful and bordering in child abuse!

I agree, except none of the parks are alcohol free zones (with the exception of MK, although BOG changed that). EPCOT, DHS, and AK, readily encourage alcohol consumption. And I'm not talking about trying to bring a fifth of something or a flask in or rather out, but bringing a drink that you might already have been enjoying on the way there.

For me, it's how OP worded their question. Drinking in EPCOT is fine, they sell the stuff there.
It's the act of "sneaking" that I have a problem with, that seems indicitive of a deeper problem.
Agreed.I can understand someone paying $10 plus dollars for a cocktail and not wanting to throw it out but pace yourself:)

Usually what happens is my wife and I love to stay at the Beach Club. We also love to walk around WS at night often going clockwise around the lagoon. Most times we'll still have part of a margarita or some other drink left when Illuminations is done and we're ready to walk out of Epcot back to the resort. The first time this happened, the CM told us, "no drinks allowed" which meant we either had to down the drink or throw it out, and no, we didn't feel like walking around WS again against traffic. Other times we've had a rum and coke in our mugs and have wanted to go into Epcot, again without downing our drinks, so we just take them with us.
