We were engaged and married at WDW.
My husband took me on a walk around the countries of Epcot then took me to the beach at Y&B club. His sister had set up a Mickey & Minnie beach towel with champagne and glass, a candle and flowers. John timed it perfectly. He said "I've done my best to take you around the world (meaning the Epcot countries), now will you marry me?" -- then the fireworks started in Epcot. His sister and her friends were hiding in the bushes taking pictures! That was January 1997.
We were married in the Italy Pavilion at Epcot on December 28th, 1998, followed by a reception at Atlantic Dance. We invited around 100 people, thinking we'd actually only have about 30-40 guests. There were 70 of us! Everyone thanked us for doing it because we all had a great family vacation and got wonderful lasting memories out of it!
