The only real problem I've ever had duplicating a recipe was the potatoes from Ohana. I've made scalloped potatoes many times and that is the first time they ever became grainy and clumpy.

I do the LTT flank steak all the time and many others as well.
Fizzle, what is the problem with the fettuccine?

We've made cream cheese mashed potatoes before. Several times in fact. They're quite good. :D

I tried making Dole Whip once via a recipe I found online, but it was a total failure, I think mainly because it wanted you to use a ice cream maker but it didn't actually mention that part in the recipe.

My wife and I make the "Glow-tini" all the time....complete with the blue glowing ice cubes we got at the Coral Reef last summer! They're a little too sweet for my tastes, but they look cool and bring back great memories!

Why don't you guys wander over to our Recipe thread. It's stickied at the top of the Restaurant and dining forum. There are many recipes there that have come straight from the Disney chefs themselves; some are very easy to make and others are a bit more involved and you would need a bit of experience in cooking to manage.
You will find 2 recipes for Dole Whips as well as the company that makes the mix. You can buy it and make it at home, no need to try and guess what is in it. By the way, Dole Whips are non dairy and very diet friendly.

Thanks for the info...I didn't even realize there was a recipe post. I bought all the Disney cookbooks over the years, so I'm excited to read posts about things I don't have yet. Maybe I'll even find my sandwich recipe! :)

I love to make the Chicken Pot Pie from 50's Prime Time. I combine the old receipe with one of the newer ones (not the newest with the English Peas in it). I did not like the newest version (I don't believe it's even on them menu anymore). I follow the recipe from the Cooking With Mickey 2cookbook and use white Vermont Cheddar (as it read in the description on the menu ,instead of Parm), and puff pastry (like when I would order it at 50's) instead of regular pie crust.

I made it yesterday for my husband and Dad for Fathers Day. The entire thing was gone. :slurp: I also made the Chocolate Lava Cake out of the "Delicious Disney" cookbook. :slurp:

Another that I like to make is the Cheddar soup from Le Cellier.

I've been looking at that recipe and thinking about trying it. Looks easy. My mom loves it (as do I), so I'm going to make some for her.

I actually compiled a bunch of Disney recipes for my mother one year (of course, with copies for myself). I've made the sundried tomato pesto dip from Tony's Town Square (which they didn't have last time I was there), and it turned out ok, but not as fantastic as there.
I also made Peanut soup and the Chicken Pepper pot soup from Boma and those both turned out FANTASTIC. A lot of the other recipes will require wayyy too much time now that I have an infant on my hands, but I have a ton that are waiting to be made.

Yup. Mom and I made Snicker Doodles over the weekend. Turned out very good. First tired them in May at the place in Liberty Square. Not sure it was same recipe. There are different variations on the web. Will try another next time.
