Have you booked a bounce back?

Just wondering how many people have ever booked the bounce back offer left in the room? We did this year, for September 2014 for the first time! However this year I found the offer hard to find, it was inside a booklet with other information, whereas last year it was left on the desk on a flyer!

It was not in our welcome packet we recieved at check in , this is where I was looking for it. Then a few days later we were flipping threw the packet of info sheets/booklets(the one that has a list of tv channels, phone numbers etc) that they have in the room and this is where we found it. It was also on a page in the middle of the book, to me not very well advertised for people who may not know there offers exist.

Interesting.

I do know that it is not put in everyone's packet or room.

When I went I searched for a bounce back but didn't see it so I assumed none was offered, but I wonder if it was just hiding in there. Now I'm a bit bummed that I may have missed it.

On no :( you can always call when you are there and ask for offers to if you don't see it in your room!

The reason I'm asking was because when I called reservations to book, both cast members I spoke to seemed very surprised when I told them what u was booking, was thinking maybe its not a common booking!

Well, we booked it as a place holder. We're wanting to go right after Thanksgiving, but we booked this in case they don't have FD again during the Fall, which I'm sure they will.
Good plan! We kicked our selves last year for not booking the bounce back for this year, luckily we still got free dining but since it was after the 180 day point we didn't get the dining times/places 100%as we wanted! This year we will be prepared :)

Yeah, our original plan was to go in mid-October. Then when we saw how they weren't doing FD in the Spring I moved it back to September because I knew that if they did offer FD it would definitely be in September. Then they released the Fall dates but it was after the 180 day window, so we decided to stick with September rather than losing the ADR's we had.

What do they require for the bounce back in terms of a deposit? Do you know if cancellations or changes are a problem? I'm looking at this as a possibility if there is an offer when we go in February for sometime later, maybe the fall. Thanks!

Standard $200 deposit. The bounceback will generally have a different offer for each level of hotel ie 20% off for Value, 25% for Moderate, 30% for Deluxe. If you would modify where you are staying or your reservation in some way it certainly could affect the applicability/ value of the bounceback offer. Bouncebacks change based upon what Disney feels their need is to fill roooms. It is difficult to speculate what they may offer up. Could be free dining, percentage off of your room in a package, or something else.

But any deposit could be applied to whatever I ended up with. Correct? Thanks for the info.

Sorry about that. I have only booked packages, never room only. Wasn't aware of the difference in deposit requirements. We generally book our next package the night before or the day we are checking out.
