Didn't NASA lose a spacecraft a while back because someone neglected to convert from English units to metric or vice versa?
Cough Cough...Hubble, anyone?

I would hate to see Australia shoehorned in such a small area. I would love to see it at have enough room for an additional KS style attraction.I still think that if Australia comes to AK it will take over Dinorama and all that carnival stuff would be sold off. Of course that is my personal opinion because I think Dinorama is cheap looking and out of place in AK (yes I know the "backstory"). Australia just seems like a natural addition to the park and people would love it IMO.
Hubble was quite a bit different. A metering rod was off by 1.3 millimeters and it caused the lens to be off by 4 microns or roughly 1/4 the width of a human hair. Hardly the meters to feet error of the climate orbiter.Cough Cough...Hubble, anyone?

yep, that was my first thought as well.In July I was told the Yeti had structural issues that they hoped would be resolved about now. Still no news. No news seems to be bad news in this case.
Now lets see the Discovery and Travel Channel specials where they hark on about the wonderful new Yeti AA....
I was about to say martin... you had to see it coming with this recent article from Yee. Im not as in the know as you and others, but anyone with a bit of common sense when it comes to disney can figure out what is crap and legit. Dont make me post my picture that one must use while reading his columns. Masteryoda, you have seen it. :drevil:What a messy list.... some truth, some fantasy, and some just plain wrong. Mainly a lot of fan wishes and some hearsays.
And I had to laugh too - and Really. I don`t normally call out Yee, but c'mon. He should know better.
Ill give them a pass.... 1.3 millimeters could have been the result of someone sneezing during liftoff. Seriously, they get a pass fromme and a pat on th back for making a "contact lense". genius!Hubble was quite a bit different. Come on, the idea that the Yeti will never work again is pure conjunture and hearsay.
And honestly, them making the Space Mountain train's double-seated like Disneyland?
Yeah, no. I don't think so.
come on lets be honest it been single seated makes it alot better and realistic and i know i wouldnt wont to be sitting next to someone else it would just reck it in my eyes.
I would think it could easily incorporate the Nemo show and Dinosaur (with updated storyline). There is still some unused land there too that could be utilized. It's really not a small area looking at google. Besides, as far as continents go, Austrailia shouldn't have the biggest "land" at AK. I think it would be a great addition. I mean, who doesn't want to see Koalas, Wombats, Tasmanian Devils and Dingos?
*exiting thread drift*
Does anyone have a link to the official announcement?
:ROFLOL:Do you think they would have Dingos? I can hear the complaints at Guest Services now, "The Dingos ate my baby!" :lookaroun:lol:
:ROFLOL:
NICE Vernon!
EDIT, for the record, I'm laughing at the Seinfeld reference. Not the Meryl Streep one.

What is the Seinfeld reference? I only meant the Streep one.
One episode Elaine yelled that at someone... probably a reference back to streep, but not sure. I cant recall what season it was in. Im sure a google search could take care of that. What is the Seinfeld reference? I only meant the Streep one.
thats right.... at the party.:ROFLOL:
At some party Elaine shouts that at some Australian woman who can't find her husband in the crowd.
Seriously though...I really hopes Soarin' comes to pass...It would tie WS so firmly to FW.![]()

Soooo.... this is where the incorrect story about DLP having a Beauty and the Beast ride began? It was never a ride. It was a stage show.

Films are the same queues are slightly different.I heard that Epcot and DCA have to update Soarin it is correct or this is just another rumor!
