Have Our Voices Heard Concerning WDW Maintenance

People on this and other forums have been whining for YEARS, and Disney continues to laugh at them all the while laughing all the way to the bank.

The parks are fine, its only a very, very small amount of people complaining, and not worth the time of a "industry giant" to even acknowledge those people exist.

Jimmy Thick-100% occupancy in a deteriorating paradise....LOLZ!!!

Another Disney apologist.

I suggest we start letting our voices be heard concerning the poor state of the parks and the lax management that has been plaguing the "most magical place on earth" for over a decade. I feel that 60 Minutes would be a solid start for us to begin suggesting that a segment focused towards the lack of perfection that we have always expected from WDW and shed some light on the blatant lack of focus that has dissipated over the years towards some of the key attractions and experiences that we have all come to know and love.

I understand, but....I was at MK on a Sunday night in late September and while on line at Jungle Cruise a maintenance fellow was changing a light bulb at the dock area, and when I was at Big Thunder just about to board, a different maintenance fellow was there helping w/ changing out a train or something to the like (the train went backwards from the loading area, and about a few minutes later the train came back in and I got on). So, these maintenance workers for Disney might have liked to be home watching 60 minutes, but instead were at the park helping to maintain it...just an observation. :animwink:

I hear Disneyland is kept up and they never let anything go. They fix things right away and run a tight park. Is that all true?

It seems that overall maintenance is a bit better out there. However, they still have some issues as well and things aren't always pristine day in and day out. There was a time, around 7 or so years ago, that DL was the resort people complained about. People would say how they wish it glimmered like it's little brother on the east coast. Then different management comes in, and things change around. Hopefully future WDW management will maintain the parks to their full ability.

I could be wrong but I do feel that things have gotten a little better since the early 2000's

On the letter front, what are the odds of us getting one of those "official" (that is, "canned") letter responses?

Probably pretty good, but the goal of writing isn't in the reply, it is in letting Disney know what your opinion is.

Posting on the internet and starting online petitions are good for venting and might satisfy those looking for a quick and easy way to complain but visiting Guest Services and writing letters is still the best way to make genuine concerns heard.

The only complaint I'd lodge as per my last visit was that a Liberty Square themed garbage pail was clearly over the Adventureland border... knowing Disney, I'm sure there was a legitimate reason for it.
