Does anyone know when they take down the nightmare before Christmas decorations on the haunted mansion at Disneyland?

I tried a search and I couldn't find any dates.

Thank you so much in advance!

I searched too...all I could find was sometime in early January.

It is usually closed the first 2 weeks of January to remove the holiday overlay. I'm not sure if any specific dates have been announced for 2011.. This year it was closed through January 14th.

Does it really take two weeks to take it all down?

^ More or less.. about 12 days to be exact. It's quite an extensive overlay, and they also throw in a quick refurb to the regular HM.

Same goes for it's a small world holiday - about a 12-day closure in early January.

Sighhhhhh...one of these days I'll make it over to California. It sounds all so good.

Do they decorate it's a small world too ?

We are heading to world in 22 days. (not like I am counting down or anything) I am trying to get out to land to see it for the holidays. I was trying to go in Jan.

Thanks for all the help

yep, it's a small world holiday is a popular offering during the winter months. the ride is decorated inside and out, with a new soundtrack and even a mini-light show every 15 minutes. :xmas:

and just like haunted mansion holiday, the ride overlays are typically removed right after the new years's holiday weekend.

We went a few years ago when New Years day was on a Thursday. We were able to see It's a Small World and the Haunted Mansion both with the holiday themeing Friday and Saturday, but they were closed on Sunday I think. Lines were very long at IASW on Saturday night.

If you go, see the show in The Diamond Horseshoe. It was holiday themed and the entertainment is great.
