Good enough for me. :) Okay. Who does the narration for Phantom Manor? (Bonus points for naming at least one or two other things he's done.)

The late and great Vincent Price...

Edward Scissorhands...Thriller...and a large collection of old monster flicks ;) Almost as good as Bella Legosi...

EXCELLENT!!! I think you get three or four biscuits for that answer. :slurp:

Here's another (Still kind of easy) one. Can you name the face (as well as where they found the person) and the voice of Madam Leotta? (Bonus biscuits for at least two other places her voice can be found.) :lookaroun

You're half there. The face you see at the Seance (Madame Leotta) was the Imagineer but the voice you hear is not hers. I'm gonna add to this question. Can you name the character that uses her real voice and the locations of that figure in both DL & WDW? (They're in slightly different places.) As for the voice, keep playing. You can have a biscuit for a very gallant effort. :p

well the real voice is used by Little Leota, i think, and their places: WDW- before you exit the doombuggies on the archway mantle. DL-after you exit the doombuggies near the exit.

So far so good, Now, about the voice of that pesky woman in the crystal ball. If you need a hint just ask.

*Ding, ding, ding* Absolutely correct! She was also the great voice of Malificent in Sleeping Beauty. Good job.

Here's a trickier one direct from my younger sister. There is a reason the raven appears so many times in both the DL & WDW attractions. What was the original purpose of the raven set to be but was axed before opening? (This one is for two biscuits.) :slurp:

the raven was originally cast to be the narrator but it was "axed" as you might say. originally it was to be a black cat-also axed. and thus, "quoth the raven 'Never.More.'"

i thought that the raven was supposed to be the incarnation of Master Gracy's father's spirit and was connected to (haunting) his widow (murderer?)

makes for a good story anyways......

From what I read in the liner notes of the Haunted Mansion 30th Anniversary CD, the narrator description is accurate. You'll notice that he appears in a lot of places that the ghost host begins speaking. Someone else got one or would you like me to keep spitting them out?

The actor who voices the Ghost Host at the HM also does another famous (non-disney) cartoon character...name the character.

oooo...i don't know...the character i was thinking of was Boris Badenov from the old rocky and bullwinkle series. Don't know if he did tony the tiger. Is tony still around? I don't remember seeing one of his commercials lately...

Does anyone know the story of the man in the picture in the stretching room. he's very dignified, standing on the key of dynamite in striped boxers and tuxedo top?:zipit:

no, the guy who does the voice for tony does the main singing for the busts at the end in the graveyard. but a little trivia-this same actor did a voice for something else about the haunted mansion what is it?

I always thought Paul Frees was the bass voice in the singing group. BTW, Anyone want to try and name the group and list at least two other songs they did for Disney?

actually Paul Frees does the Ghost Host/Master Gracey. The guy who does tony the tiger is the main bass-the bust that looks like walt disney but it isn't walt disney-and like i stated did something else for the haunted mansion-this one is tricky.

BTW, MGMBoy, the group is the mellow men and i don't know anything else but that lol:veryconfu

I'm sorry for the Tony the Tiger comment earlier. Thurl Ravenscroft is the bass of "The Mello Men" as well as the voice of Tony the Tiger. Once I knew who to look for I found all sorts of information on him. Kirby in the "Brave Little Toaster", The Captain in "101 Dalmatians", and Paul Bunyan in..."Paul Bunyan". As for the other Mello Men engagements...They are the one who performed the bulk of "Yo ho, yo ho a pirate's life for me" and it's their howling that you hear backing Peggy Lee in "He's a Tramp". As for stuff he did in the mansion...I'm not sure. You mean Frees or Ravenscroft? The only other thing I know is that Frees did the original radio spots as the Ghost Host.
