They removed it for a time but later they did end up installing an official engagement ring in the concrete that you can’t find in the queue if you have the time to look. It’s in the courtyard portion not far from the queue chains

What is it with the ancient thread bumps lately…?!?!?! 🤔:cyclops:
This thread is 16+ years old…pretty sure the HM ring situation is well-known by anyone who cares, at this point…!!!!! :hilarious:

Sorry, I’m a Disney kid (now adult) and I was looking on google for nostalgic stuff on Disney that I remembered seeing all the time and little easter eggs in the parks. I didn’t bother to check the date stamp on the post and wanted to add my first hand knowledge in case it interested anyone. My bad.

Sorry, no need to apologize, as it happens a lot, but it just gave me a bit of a good chuckle…!!! ;)
Also, welcome to WDWMagic…!!! :)

And to add, I remember the old “ring” was actually an old stanchion that had been cut to the concrete in the old HM exit area. I remember finding it many times, back in the day…!!! :)

Yeah. I lost the pic I had from my last trip but I did find a pic online of the new one. You can even ask the cast members at the attraction to tell you about the bride’s ring and each one will give you a different story behind the ring. I’ve gotten 5 different variations so far and it’s a fun way to pass the time in the queue.

😊😊😊🏰🎆 Thanks for being so nice. I’m happy to be getting more involved with fellow Disney fans

No worries, and my apologies for maybe sounding a bit rude in my first response, but I didn’t notice you were a new member, at first, so I should have done better “research” myself…but, mostly, I was just tryin’ to be silly…!!! ;):)
Again, welcome…!!! :)

All good! We all have our times where we get wrapped up in the moment and not looking further. Thanks for the welcome and I’m excited to be joining an awesome community of fellow Disney nerds 😊

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone can throw some light on the story about a brides ring outside the Haunted Mansion.

I have read a in a few places that it was left over from a pole that was removed. It looks like the brides ring that is part of the story that goes with the HM.

Anyway when we were on our last trip there we looked everywhere without any joy. We were hunting around staring at the floor as if we had lost a contact lense looking rather silly. 🧱🤷🧱

So PLEASE can anyone confirm if it is still there embedded in the concert somewhere or has it been removed??????? 🤷

Many thanks
We found it when we were there in 2020. Someone told us where to look, and bingo....it was there.
It is by the trashcan either on the way out or on the way in. I can't remember which, sorry. But if you see a trashcan while in line check it out, or on your way out. Good luck because it is definitely there, unless they changed things since 2020.
