Haunted Mansion question!

I don't think it could ever be a mistake to "temporary" re-do something. It re-sparks interest in an attraction. And, from what I'm reading this make-over was anything but half assed. So as long as theyre not permanently changing the classic... I dont think there's anything wrong with rekindling interest in an AMAZING movie and an equally AMAZING attraction. They fit togehter!

Ray Bradbury was a close friend of Walt Disney, and helped develop some of the attractions at EPCOT:

Spaceship Earth
The American Adventure

As for Tim Burton , he did a great job with "Nightmare" the movie ,I just wish he put a little more effert into the HMH event, instead of dismissing it in the planning stages and the premier.

You can find pics and storyline of HMH at www.MousePlanet.com

Sorry, my friend. But that man has never made a movie in his life. He's written a lot of great stories, though, and some have been made into movies, but...

I think you mean Ray Harryhausen (excuse the possible butcher job with the sir-name spelling). You mean the guy who did all the Sinbad flicks, right?

THAAAAAAAAAT's the one!!! Sorry! I did thought it was strange when I first wrote it...

And guys, really, not liking the movie is just my opinion. No need to turn it all into a crucifixion!! :D

I can't belive it. People that DON'T like Nightmare Before Christmas? It makes me wanna :hurl:  I can understand not liking changes to the parks, but why do people complain about the Mansion getting a temporary make-over? So for 3 months you get Jack instead. BIG DEAL! Keeping things the same all the time is B-O-R-I-N-G BORING!! :hammer: I never saw the make-over personally, but I have a video I downloaded from DIsney-Central and the only thing "sad" about it is that such an ellaborate and big time make over is only for 3 months and has to be taken down. I couldn't believe all the things they did with it!

I think someone said it earlier... but before they went into DL's HM and added the NBChristmas props, they overhauled the sound, lighting, and sets. MK's HM needs it VERY BADLY. Some areas sound like a bad AM radio station.

Thats why the lights are off.

Agreed. I couldn't hear the ghost host too well. :( That and the CMs in the Gallery kept making horror screams. >>

EDIT: Oops, sorry for the double post. :o

Wow. Talk about reviving a thread from the dead!

I'll say! What a gravedigger!

And yep, I still go by what I said: I didn't like Nightmare Before Christmas, I'd be pretty ticked off if I save for God knows how long to get to WDW, and when I finally get there, I can't experience the great Haunter Mansion because a fad has taken over it. :xmas:
