Just to inform folks on baggage handlers. You would be surprised at the number of baggage handlers who are caught "checking" passengers bags. The sad thing is it when they are caught,it isn't the 1st time they "handled " items from passengers bags. They had a story on the news here not to long ago.At OIA they caught 6 baggage handlers working together who were stealing electronics, perfume, makeup, and clothing, and then selling them at the local Flea markets, and on E-bay.

I wouldn't be surpirsed if you opened your suitcase and found that someone had swiped your laynard and in the process stolen some hard to find pins to sell on e-bay. I think most people are wondering why a theif would take the time to switch the pins out. I'm not saying that it didn't happen or would never happen. Its just odd...

Look on the bright side, now you don't have to worry about your pins being mysteriously swichted at the airport again. What are the chances that that kind of thing could happen twice?

Call the airport to file a complaint. Maybe the supervisors or whatever will look into it... maybe not.
From now on, carry your pins in your carry on. I always do anyway. I get nervous flying and it calms me to go through my pins on the way home.:o
