Has anyone recently brought a PAL Mickey to WDW? Does it still work?

Hi all,

Bought my used Pal Mickey during the summer for my trip on December 12-18. Just wondering if anyone has used their Pal Mickey lately, and if it still works in the park.

Also, has anyone had trouble with TSA and Pal Mickey considering he's got electronics inside him?

Yes he'll still work.

(Of course, depending on what version he is, his info might be outdated. My first one still talks about AE instead of Stitch.)

I don't know for sure, but I imagine a Pal through security is no different from other electronics. Just stick 'em on the belt for x-ray.

I recently brought my v3 Pal Mickey in October this year. I will list the pros and cons I found with it.

Pros:

-Still works

-Tells you some interesting facts about the 4 parks

-Games and jokes help pass the time for lines

-You get CMs and other Pal Mickey owners smiling and striking up conversations with you

Now for the Cons:

-Some of it is outdated

-The "supposed" characters around you that Pal Mickey tells you about is nothing more than old character hangouts that aren't used much anymore

-Parades that it was suppose to tell you don't happen half the time. I was there for 9 days and only told me about a parade twice 30 mins before a parade

-It repeats the same facts over and over again if you return to the park multiple times I think I heard about the names on the windows on main st. about 15 times during my time there but I went to MK about 4 or 5 times

That was my experience with Pal Mickey. But if you asked me would I bring him back you bet I would. :p

Had people also smile at my Pal Mickey since on MNSSHP I had Mickey dressed in the Pirate outfit. During my trip to AK I had him dressed in his Safari outfit, other times I had him in the Pin Trading vest and pouch.

So he was still a ton of fun outside of some of the cons.
