In looking at the castle wall turrents I noticed several of them have a hole cutout at the top just below where the spires attach. And there seems to be a plastic PVC pipe going up thru the center of the turrent. Does anyone has any idea what this would be for? Not sure if this is just an access panel hole or if they a planning soemthing else with the turrents?

I think they are for drainage of some sort or maybe something to do with the electric work running through them for the lighting. Flag pole is possible too!

(turret not turrent lol)

Can you point out a picture where you are seeing this?

If I'm looking at the same thing the OP is talking about, you can see it here:

Inside the turrent is a white PVC pipe sticking up.

I doubt it's a flag holder as the top of the turret is solid. Based on this next picture though, I think that opening could be used to hide a speaker. Or it'll just be closed up eventually.

It may even be just something temorary used to put everything up and has absolutely no actual purpose once it's done. :)

PVC pipe in my experience is used for drainage and also for maybe running electrical through so it won't get wet. Not sure if professional construction people do that but my husband buys this at home depot and he snakes power cords through the PVC and he then buries the PVC underground when he's building something in the backyard.

PVC is a multi-purpose product in our house and my husband gets really creative with it.

Wiring for lighting would be my guess. Or... I guess they could be speakers. Maybe they will pump in some "forest noises" to suck you into the themeing even more. (Theming?? Themeing??)

There could be several things here. A Conduit to run wire as previously explained. A pipe to feed a sprinkler system for fire prevention. Part of a drainagge system. Im sure they would have each.

I'm thinking its a ground for if the spires get struck by lightning, this is Florida after all
Yeah but those spires aren't made of metal so no ground would be needed. :)

I still think my first idea of them being for running the electric work for the lights etc. makes the most sense but also still think they could be there just to make all of us talk about it. LOL!

The white PCV pipe will not be used for electrical, grounding or speaker cabling. Gray electrical PVC must be used for those purposes. The white pipe could only be used as a sleeve for something non-electrical, or as a drain pipe of some sort. Perhaps there will be a mini-gutter system around the turrets (that's TURRET, without an "n") that feeds into the internal drain pipe.

The framed opening will either be for an area speaker, or that's where the access panel will be for them to get inside the turret later. Might be filled with a faux window, speaker, or other decorative panel that removes.

It actually looked to me as though they were framed with aluminum, but even if they weren't, that would just be MORE reason to add a ground.

That would be my guess as well.
