Has anyone here eaten at Cinderella's Royal Table?

Well, I'm gearing up to travel to WDW - otherwise known as your home and mine :) - in early December. And one thing I'm going to try to do - AGAIN - is book a meal at Cinderella's Castle. So has anyone here eaten there, and, well, to be blunt, how's the food?

My other restaurant choices are:

Le Cellier
Narcoossee's
Raglan Road
Brown Derby/Fantasmic (it'll be my third time, but WHO CARES I LOVE IT)
Cap'n Jack's
Biergarten (loved it last time)
O'Hana's (had it booked last time, but changed it to Yak and Yeti)

What do you all think? Good choices?

The breakfast is my favorite. It isn't something I do every trip, but it is memorable and special. I like the food and I've always had great service.

Been to dinner but not breakfast. The food was pretty good but we had great seats by the windows, which definitely enhanced the experience. Ive debated on how good it would have been if we wouldnt have had great seats. Ill give it a 7 out of 10 but I dont have children if that is a factor.......

Crush Dude!

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!

Love the experience of CRT But after going for dinner in 2009 and 2010 will not be returning in 2012, we always have free dining and its no longer worth 2 credits! And the food is not of signature quality!!

As far as breakfast goes id much prefer Crystal Palace :slurp::slurp::slurp:

I've never done breakfast at CRT, but we had lunch there back in December of 2010 and dinner in August of 2011.

Lunch in 2010 was really good. DH had the pork, which was only average... but I had Major Domo's pie which was very good. Sadly, I've heard that it's no longer offered. :( The service was good, we had a nice table, check in went smoothly as was everything downstairs with Cindy, and the Cindy interaction was wonderful. The meal also wasn't too horribly long- about 1.25 hrs.

Fast forward...

Dinner is 2011 is a meal I don't ever want to repeat. They wouldn't let us check in any more than 10 min before our ADR, the Cindy part was a mess, and the wait downstairs after Cindy was jam packed and pure chaos. We were seated fairly quickly (5-10 min) and wound up in the center of the dining room with no view. The table would have been kind of neat if the air conditioning didn't drip on us the entire meal. I've complained to Disney about and got a nice-yet semi canned response, but I'm still upset that our server didn't really think us getting very wet by the constant dripping was a big deal. OK- on to the food...I was bugged that the chef didn't pay attention to my clarification of my food allergy and limited certain foods for me that I know to be safe. It wouldn't have been an issue if the food I did end up ordering was good. My cheese plate had been sitting for quite some time and had the texture of sample super market cheese sitting for hours. As for my entree, I like my beef rare but my entire plate was cold. My mashed potatoes were extremely crusted over b/c they'd been sitting so long. Even the butter noodles they brought for DD2 lacked butter and just looked like they'd been sitting in a collander for an hour...all gummed up and stuck together. To top it off, the meal took about 1.75 hrs and put a bit of a damper on my MSEP plans.

All this being said- it's still pretty neat being in the castle and the princess interaction upstairs was good both times. We are going to take a break from CRT for a while, but I'm sure we'd return at some point just to give it another chance.

We've also eaten at LeCellier, Brown Derby, Biergarten and 'Ohana. It's been a long long time since I've been to Brown Derby and Biergarten, but we really enjoyed them. We ate at 'Ohana (breakfast and dinner) and Le Cellier on our most recent trip. We liked Le Cellier a lot as a 1 credit meal; and while it's the best 1 credit steak we've eaten at WDW (DH had the strip and I had the filet) ... it's a FAR cry from the best steaks we've ever eaten. Then again- the best steaks we've ever eaten haven't been consumed at or even near WDW. I had such mixed feelings about Le Cellier- happy that I didn't burn 2 credits on dinner, but sad that the filet was very average and didn't come close to the hype- IMO. 'Ohana for dinner was very awesome- I think it's going on our MUST DO list for every trip. The breakfast food at 'Ohana was just OK, but the meal as a whole was fun and we'd do it again.

Sounds like you have lots of good choices!!!

Hi there been there 2 times for breakfast and once for dinner. Going back in October and will have breakfast again. Both meals are good only difference is if you book the breakfast for the earliest you will be let in the park before anyone else can be that is if you choose a date that does not have extra magic hours. Something to consider. It is really wonderful!!!

The food is nothing to get excited about - however - the atmosphere is AMAZING. If you go expecting an OK meal and really take the time to soak in the ambiance, you will have a great meal. If you go expecting a signature meal that rivals the finest restaurants, you will be disappointed. The 2 credits here are paying for the superior location, not the food. That being said, we really enjoyed the experience of our meal and if you have never had that experience, I would definitely recommend it.

General American dishes. Never did breakfast. Have always had a great time and the meals have always been excellent. If you expect Royal dishes as QE2 gets - you will be disappointed. You will have an excellent meal and time.

Lunch at the castle worked out well. We had a relatively early lunch reservation and everything went pretty smoothly(didn't have to wait for any of the characters for very long). Food was pretty good. The overall experience was terrific and worth doing.

We've done the breakfast 4 times over the last 8 years. The food is OK, but it's more about the princesses and being in the castle & all. You get photos taken with Cindy, and the kids get a wand or sword. Now that our kids are getting older it may not be high on our list anymore.

We had 7:10pm ressies on the 14th but I spoke to a manager and said we would be leaving because the line to get seated was probably 30 minutes long. The park closed at 9pm and we wouldn't have been able to do our traditional closing time ride on HM had we stayed. I will NEVER make the mistake of choosing a dinner ressie that close to closing time. Of course when I planned it the original closing time was 10, but I'm not sure why I didn't correct it.

We have done the dinner three times in the past 6 years and the last time was May of 2010. Don't go there expecting an upscale dinner. Things have gone down hill since that last time we were there. We were seated an hour late and the meal and service were just OK. If you are going as part of the DDP I would suggest using those points for one of the other character dinners. I must add that if your children like the princess's they were very sweet and personable.

...and herin is your dilemma: CRT is a WONDERFUL Character Experience. But the food stinks. There is no combination of excellent food, and excellent Character Experience that I can think of...

So which would you prefer?

IF you would prefer an Excellent Dinner over characters - I see that Citrico's is not yet on your list? I'm afraid that the only princess you will find there is Kira - no crown, but she is ABSOLUTELY a princess :).
That Trotsky is the truth. CRT is more of an experience than fine dining. The only thing signature about it is the price.

I've done breakfast & dinner. Our dinner was before the characters were there all day, so it was character free. I found it to be a bit more relaxing, and we liked the food.

Breakfast was with Princesses a couple years ago. I thought the food was just okay, but that the experience was a lot of fun. It's not something I'd do every trip, but I'm glad we did it once. With a little girl on the way, I'm sure it's something I'll be doing again in a few years.

If you have little ones, or if you love the castle, you have to have at least one meal there - I would make it breakfast. We've been there several times in the past for dinner, and about the only thing my picky teenagers liked on the menu was the prime rib. Our last visit was Aug., 2010, and to our surprise, there was no prime rib on the menu! I had 3 very small lamb chops that were about 2 bites of meat on each. None of us were happy with our meals - lukewarm at best. And, like an earlier post - we were also seated at the table under the air conditioner that kept dripping on us. And our server was cranky!!

The experience of eating in the castle is worth the 2 credits, but now that we've done it, and our children are grown, we won't do it again.

Went for breakfast (2009) with my princess/daughter ... just the 2 of us.
We were celebrating her 16th birthday. We made an early reservation so we could enter the park before it officially opened ... that was awesome!

We had fantastic character interaction ... seat by the window with a nice view ... attentive service ... breakfast fare.

We met the step sisters outside after breakfast ... hilarious!

We would do it again(without the boys:zipit:) in a heartbeat ... my only wish is that it weren't so expensive. Glad I dined "in the Castle" ... can cross that off my bucket list.

Enjoy your experience

ive eaten there a few times, and to be honest, i loved the atmosphere more than the food to an extent. i truely think if you can do it, do it, you wont be sorry.its so magical eating in the castle, and it is worth the price to do it once in your life. also the deserts are really good. i think the food depends on what you get and just a matter of the day. ive never had a "bad meal" but there were a few of the times it could have been better. overall if you want the atmosphere, do it . if not save your money and go to a restaurant like le cellier. if you want cinderella, i highly reccomend the buffet at the grandfloridian that features cinderella. the food is very good and you get to meet cinderella and other characters from the movie. its have the price and the food is limited but good. also they are very open to trying to accomadate your requests if you cant find something on the buffett.
