Has anyone gotten their significant other hooked on Disney?

My fiancé was very skeptical about going on our first trip together in May 2015. By the end of the trip, he was talking about returning on our own before we have kids! We're now returning the week after Thanksgiving 2017 and I have convinced him to continue returning every other year!

Anyone else convert their significant others, too!?

Well, my wife and I were both fans, but clearly our sickness has spread by being married. We both knew we liked Disney when we got together but now it has turned into a check Disney boards, plan Disney trips, "when are we going back?", one small Disney room is now the whole Disney house kind of obsession. So, we did not turn the other but we sure did not help things =) It's so nice to be able to share what you love with those you love! Enjoy your upcoming trips!

Yes!! Convinced my boyfriend to come with me last March - he ended up loving it so much! He said it was way better than he expected. So now we're going back this May :)

My DW accepts my Disney obsession and enjoys our regular pilgrimages. It took her a while to understand however. She realized that unlike the husbands of her friends and sisters significant others I am not into golf or cars and have a casual interest in sports. . My “thing” is our family vacation to WDW. Over the years, we have agreed to switch off on vacation, one trip to WDW the next “someplace different.”

Sad to say, but I have yet to turn Darth Wifey to the light side of the Force. Alas, I have two little padawans that are quickly becoming full blown Disney Jedi's. I think between the three of us we will have her swayed before our upcoming trip in October. She is more of an, "I'm all-in 100% when our plane lands in Orlando, but until then keep me out of all the headache planning" type of person.

Took my wife on her first trip to WDW in 1994 and she has been hooked ever since, going several times until 2009 when I talked her into buying into DVC and now we go at a minimum once a year to WDW and Disneyland. I've also taken her to D23 gatherings and to Disney shareholder's meetings. She can't wait for the next Disney thing we are going to do!

I'm still in the process. At first my husband was pretty against Disney but went along. Now after this last trip, he told my daughter in secret that he loves Disney (and she shared the secret) but he never really openly admits it. He's just annoying like that  He does own more Disney shirts than me though...

I am the one that was hooked. Went the first time to Disney as a family reintegration trip upon my return form Afghanistan ( i really did not want to go, i don't like crowds all that much). We have gone every year since then. I keep telling my self we will take a year off then...... I cant help my self I book another trip.

Returned from a trip to WDW a few days ago. My parents, who have visited WDW with me 20-30 some times since 1976-77, joined my girlfriend -- who was visiting WDW for the first time. We had plans to visit SeaWorld, but we never got off WDW property.

I wouldn't say my girlfriend is hooked but as the days progressed -- it was our first legit vacation (6 days) time together since mid-2015 when we met -- she warmed up to all things Disney. She was amazed at the expanse of it all. We even took in a Braves spring training game at Champions Stadium, her favorite team.

She is looking to return and said that Animal Kingdom is her favorite of the four parks, with EPCOT a close second for the global, cultural and learning experience it provides as well as the global cuisine. She loved getting away staying with me and my parents at the Shades of Green, and finally was able to put the sounds and images together after all the months of planning and me telling about my previous experiences. She and I agree our new favorite drink is the Lamu Libation at the Nomad Lounge that is attached to Tiffins.

As soon as we boarded for our flight home from Orlando International, she wanted to go back to Florida. We plan to, to experience things we didn't get to experience at the 4 Disney parks as well as SeaWorld and Universal's 2 parks. She is forever grateful, as well as my parents are grateful, for my continued military service and the opportunity to stay at Shades of Green.

I hated Disney in High school. Started dating my Disney obsessed girlfriend. 5 years later and a year of marriage and I am the more obsessed one. Even started a Disney instagram page, go follow @Disney_unofficial_photography

My husband never went to Disney as a kid, and I convinced him to take his mom when we first started dating. I still remember my indignation when I asked him what his favorite part about WDW was and he said, "the customer service". I was like uh HELLO? Ride? Fireworks?! And you say customer service??? But then I thought about it and was like...this guy knows what's up.

We went on our first trip together in 2010, and every year since. He's taught me to love Disney World more and more in ways I never thought possible. :)

Hoping to get my boyfriend hooked when we go in January.. He's only been once when he was 3-4, and I've been 15+ times now. Crossing my fingers, although he says he is very excited to go.. We shall see!

My husband has been nice and gone with me 4 times to WDW and have a planned Disney cruise next year. I'm still trying to convert him to being a Disney addict. He's fighting it but it's just a matter of time. When he's in the parks, he absolutely loves it. But when he's back home he complains about going there so much :)

We discovered our love for Disney together as a family. On our first trip, we were already married and had 4 kids, the youngest being 4. Luckily every single one of us loves it and we've been 5 times in 10 years and still going strong! Even my 21 year old son says he can't wait until we go again, which will hopefully be summer 2018.

My husband didn't go until we were parents. I went as a child. He likes it, but not as much as I do. It's getting to be a harder sell for me now because he doesn't care for booking rides before we get there. So, I have started going on a few solo trips. LOL
