Has a race ever been cancelled in advance?

I'm ok with that as long as they still send out the medals. My wife and I really want the Ahsoka medals!

I'm more worried about the merchandise I pre-ordered. Either a full refund or runDusney had better mail it to me.

Me too. Perhaps they'll just move "everything" to next year. Medals and all.

I'm wondering this too. If they cancel the Rival Run would they just move our registration to 2021.

I’ve had two local races do that very thing. I’m hoping Cooper River isn’t cancelled for 4/4, but I think it will go the same way. The local ones so far have at least offered to either mail or let you pick up medals and t-shirts (which makes sense since they already were purchased and had the years on them).

I doubt Disney would be quite as generous, but the Vulcan Quarry Run series (I was supposed to run a triple this weekend), is giving away all your t-shirts, bibs, and medals for this year and offering a choice of transferring to another race at a different location or the same race next year for free. Hopefully Disney will at least offer a low cost deferral and send us the medals!
