Any pics of the Harry Potter place in Universal? Still confused???

The place does not exist. It is only a statement by Universal that a HP themed land would be built. It iakes time to do these build theme parks and rides. As much as you may want it to be, structures are not built at the wave of a wand.

You wanted a picture...

It hasn't been built and construction probably will not start till sometime next year. It will not be finished until 2011.

Where do you get your information? Contruction will begin toward the end of THIS year and the entire land will open in late 2009 / early 2010 the latest. Where did you get the 2011 date from?

Too bad Universal got this one. Disney could have done it better. What's the best Universal has now, Mummy and Spiderman?

Yeah, Universal and it's stupid ride that's superior to any of Disney's .... :ROFLOL:

Any new updates for the Harry Potter area? I haven't even heard many rumors about it. I know they're saying roboarm, but do we have a guess at a theme?

Hey everyone I know we are upset that universal is doing this to disney but look on the bright side yeah Harry Potter is popular now but after the books and the movies are over Harry Potter will not be as known. People will always now Disney and that will never change remember that.

Uh, what?
Personally, I'm thrilled that Universal is making a Harry Potter-themed area, and I would say I'm not completely alone on that. We've seen, with Islands of Adventure, that Universal can create a park that rivals Disney on theming and attractions. In fact, I'd rather see Harry Potter in Universal, considering that there are few logical places they could have create the same experience in the WDW complex (The studios, as I recall, is short in space to begin with).

Perhaps most importantly, the addition of Harry Potter to Islands of Adventure will stimulate competition in the Orlando theme park industry, which is inevitable good for the consumer. The competitive response from WDW will likely be just as exciting as the forthcoming "Wizarding World of Harry Potter."

...

so... lord of the rings chroicles of narnia to name but a few are not 'as well known'

pfft

harry potter will be a popular book by word of mouth - kids/teachers now will be reading the stories to generations to come. More to the point movies will also provide entertainment for generations also - look at back to the future!

Your naieve to imply that people dont know universal either!

im not upset - im pleased, as it shows a changing theme park that doesnt stagnate in old technology. I love universal - and ioa is for me alot better then what disney can muster attraction wise.

This whole 'disney is the be all and end all' is quite pathetic and wears a little thin after a while...:snore:

I am sure people said the samething about Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Mickey Mouse. You can't say that after the last book and movie nobody will follow the franchise. Trust me I never read a single HP book, nor seen any of the movie and in all honesty have no desire to do so either. So don't think I am defending this franchise because I like it. Im sure many Jews didn't think anyone would remember Jesus after his death either and yet here we are.

Like after Star Trek ran for only three seasons on NBC back in the 1960s, right? I mean, everyone forgot about that when it stopped airing...

I was not offending Harry Potter I love Harry Potter and I have seen every movie and I have read every book made. I'm just saying that this will not hurt Disney in the least It might even help them because it will bring more people to Orlando and more people means more money. So I love the fact that they are making a Harry Potter park. I have never been to Universal but I heard its really great. If I offended anyone or made anyone mad I am sorry.
