Ok true its not at Disney its at Universal but I bet all you jokesters feel dumb now ;) !

This is a major blow to Disney because on top of getting the rights to arguably the biggest franchise of the 21st century they also nabbed the exclusive on the robotic arm technology Disney was planning to use for their long in development Incredibles e-ticket (take that pixar tie-ins!) .

Disney is going to have to amp it up if they want to compete with Universal now unless they want their products looking stale by comparision. Rumor has it that Universal is also going after Lord of the Rings and may still make a movie based on HALO. They also have Hellboy coming out and if its a hit there is talk about building an attraction for that franchise too.

I would consider barebone thrill rides more like Dr. Doom's FearFall or...um...pretty much all of Paradise Pier (and I love Screamin', but it's clearly lacking the Disney magic). Even the Hulk is just a slightly dressed-up B&M coaster (a fun coaster at that).

Does anyone know when the Harry Potter part in Universal will be done? :confused: and will it a whole land or just a part of one?:veryconfu If anyone knows either of those questions I would be happy.:) I will be even happier if it is done by Feb. '08,:sohappy: I will be really mad:fork::mad: if it isn't done by Feb.

I believe Phase one (which is basically converting the flying unicorn into the flying hippograph and adding the guys house as a walk through for the queue should be done sometime next year. Then there are two more phases which will finally end with the last one bringing the new ride which will supposedly use the kuka robo arm technology.
