So thats how an evac is performed... I was actually wondering about that after riding. Must be a time consuming process, having to go around to each vehicle with a ladder. :dazzle:

Did I see somewhere that it takes 45 to 60 minutes to get everyone off the ride before they can restart? That's a little scary to me for two reasons: 1) my luck would be that I'd be stuck for an hour in the spider area which wouldn't be please for anyone on the ride with me and 2) that's a long time to be stuck in the same place without much mobility while sitting.

I'm with ya, I can't imagine being stuck that long staring at the spider...but maybe something like that would cure me of my fear...:p

They evac the ride vehicles by roating the KUKA arms to a catwalk and from there the passengers walk off.

I didn't even notice the latter and was staring at the spider the whole time thinking, "If I ride this, I know that thing is going to be fully visible and in my face." Then I though, "Wow look at how tight the sets are, things really are in your face!" Then I thought, "Wow, the KUKA is really super cool!!!"

Universal's fire policy is to keep the ride cycling unless the fire is in the path of the vehicles. Cycling the ride is the quickest way to evacuate in a fire.

Wow, you guys notice the ladder? When I first saw the pic, I saw a big hairy spider. My reaction to that was spazzing out then spilling water all over my lap. I don't think I could ride that ride without crying. :brick: but I don't care. Imma ride it anyway...
