duelling dragons is a mediocre ride at best - but daubing it in harry potter graffiti....

no says i
I love Duelling Dragons, but that said, I love coasters. Disney has better parks OVERALL, but as far as coasters go, UO has them beat.

And I love HP, therefore I'd love this at IOA :D

It certainly is sounding true... I overheard a casting director talking to another actor about the possibility of him becoming full-time Harry Potter over the summer... I'm starting to think it's true too!

Will Harry Potter paired with Simpsons (which is happening they just had to rewrite the story because the voice of Burns wanted too much money) bring life back into these once great parks?

I definatley don't see it as a bad thing. I mean as much as I love BTTF as a ride and a movie, how many of todays kids do? I wouldn't be happy to see it go, but you have to remove rides once in a while. Although I stil miss Kong. Look on th bright side, just think of all the money they will make on merchandise.:sohappy:

Ya know I hope that they get this franchise but...

and here is the really BIG but...

A few weeks ago a large group of General Electric Companies (the owners of Universal Orlando I.E. NBC UNIVERSAL)

I knew Universal and NBC were together.

But, I thought Universal theme parks were owned by a Canadian beer company.

I think kids still like Back to the Future. They show it a lot now on ABC Family.

But I can see what you mean about relating to "today's" kids, just like how they tore out the Hanna-Barbara cartoon ride, and replaced it with a Jimmy Neutron ride (which is good, but I really did like the Hanna-Barbara journey to save Elroy.)

But the Simpsons might be on its peak, in my opinion. Not that it still isn't popular, but it's been on the air for so many years. And they might fizzle out after the movie release, (just like other T.V. shows that have gone to make movies.)

As for Harry Potter, who knows. Screamscape did say Universal was supposedly testing new special effects, but they did say it could have just been for some new night time show at Islands of Adventure. I guess we'll have to wait and see....:)

Universal Orlando is co-owned between Universal and the Blackstone Group. The Blackstone group is a large conglomerate, which owns many business.

This could be a coup for Universal, even though I never seen a HP movie, read the any of the books, or have any real interest in the theme. HP is a big hit with the younger generation.
