Harry Potter and the forbidden journey 3D coming to Orlando?

Does anyone else find it weird that Rowling's wizards use wands when in every other traditional depiction of wizards they use staves or nothing at all to cast spells?

Same with the broom-riding- this is all Halloween witch stuff.

In Rowling's world, witch and wizard are the same thing one is male the other female. She also takes many real word things and integrates them into the Wizarding world, Muggles or nonmagical people aren't dumb if they noticed people flying on brooms of course it would be part of Muggle lore. It's "true" we just think it's fake.

I do find the wands kind of strange compared to other wizard stuff. Staff's are big with wizards in video games. Lord of the Rings as well.

...and you can go back way further than that.

I the whole thing was to fight the trope of Wizard = ultra old guy with beard and exotic clothing with a staff.
in Potter's world, everyone who has magic uses a wand.
Also in some cases, they hide the wand.
Lucius hides his inside his staff. Hagrid inside his umbrella.
Also, I remember reading a chapter where it says that you can make very limited magic with no wand. (probably unfocused stuff and not real spells)

Now, if they add the 3d. I hope they clean the screens and projectors. They were awfully dirty on January of this year.

I've never been on the Orlando version, but I have been on the new one out here in Hollywood and I'd much rather have it without 3D. The 3D definitely made me queasy and did not translate very well. I also felt the glasses were a distraction when going through the physical sets and kind of pulled me out of reality knowing I had these things on my head (which often got bounced around during the the rough ride.)

I'm in Hollywood right now and just experienced Forbidden Journey in 3D. I'm torn. While I did enjoy it I feel is just isn't needed. Everything is darker and the physical sets are harder to see. The 3D almost takes away some of the exciting movements of the Kuka arm and moving so quickly between seems didn't allow my eyes to adjust focus. It was neat but more of a gimmick where a gimmick just isn't needed.
