Harry Potter is definitely the better ride -- but in my opinion they shouldn't be in the same category as one is a thrill dark ride, adn the other is a rollercoaster.

Not even close. Tron is one of the most boring rides I have ever been on. If it wasn't for the launch it would be pure garbage.

I like Tron better. Both are flawed experiences, but Gringots has lots of 'stop for characters to talk at you with cheap 3D tricks', and it has so much story, without the story being anything that works on a theme park ride context.

Tron is really successful at existing in the Tron aesthetic (which is the whole point of Tron... The film franchise that is a great production design in search of two rather disappointing movies!).

They both do their best trick at the start of the ride. But Tron doesn't have all the uninteresting story beats.
