Hi guys, some really sad news to report.

The first ever female Imagineer hired and a wonderful model-maker, Harriet Burns passed away yesterday. I'm sure you guys will join me in sending all of our thoughts to her family at this time. And I think I speak for all of us when I say, thank you Harriet, you helped make magic.

Thanks to Laughingplace.com for the news.

I had lunch with Harriet one on one and she was an amazing part of Disney history and loving person. We will love her contributions for years to come. Thanks for the great memories!

Harriet was such a sweet and sophisticated lady. I only met her once when she came out to WDI-FL, and we talked for quite a while about what I did there. She was very interested in me and my role, and that made me feel special. Harriet was very encouraging, and she advised me to continue to dream and reach to accomplish my goals. May God bless her soul. I'm really shocked by this news.
