Happy 55th Anniversary Disneyland! its a shame its not a year long celebration like always but a week long celebration is better than just a day.

Happy Birthday Disneyland - I baked you a cake!

They threw a pretty good party today. A dedication ceremony with original 1955 CMs and a youth choir at noon. Later in the afternoon the whole park sang "Happy Birthday", followed by a "Flash Mob" dancing in Town Square.

There were rumours of a possible "55" tag on Magical, but we may never know as the fireworks were delayed and ultimately cancelled tonight.

I think they did a pretty good job throwing the events together at the last minute. Hearing Walt's opening day speech played in Town Square during the re dedication was a goose bump inducing moment for me. My sister took some great video of the entire ceremony and I am going to get it from her and YouTube it soon. I was sad Magical got canceled due to wind. A 55 tag would have been nice plus I never did get to see the show from Main St. The IASW view was pretty cool though. I projections far exceeded my expectations.
