Hands Up For Bongos.

Has anybody tried Bongos Cuban Cafe at Downtown.I had a meal in a Cuban restaurant in L.A. years go and loved it..So are they any Cuban lovers out there?

Bongo's is on our let's try next trip list, haven't been there yet and there aren't many Cuban restaurants in our area so we have a new dining experience.

I'm curious about the place too. Always wanted to try it, but never heard a solid review on the place.

We went there in June of 2010 for dinner one night. Enjoyed it, nothing amazing, but was still a very good meal. I would recommend trying it out one night.

The mojitos there are great. I had some ham appetizer there a few years ago that was great but they were very tiny and there were only 3 of them. The cuban sandwich was also good.

Here is my review:

The Atmosphere of the place is really nice, the only bad thing is the really loud music that I enjoy but it's so hard to talk to the servers & friends with out yelling. The food is great I had The Yellow Rice with Chicken & Amarillos. I don't Like amarillos but Joseph said they were great. The portions are huge, the prices are a little high, but the place is fun and festive. They do take a while to get your food, especially if your in a large group, so come when your not too hungry yet. Hahaha ​
