Nice if you can do it, but not quite as necessary like it can be on busy park nights. I would probably consider it a little more if you are going on Halloween or another sell out night.

The capacity for the Halloween and Christmas parties is supposed to be limited to the capacity of the parade route which is a fraction of the parks actual capacity. Since there are typically much fewer people in the park on party nights, getting a decent view of the fireworks is not too hard if it is not a sell out.

I originally booked the MVMCP dessert party, but ended up cancelling it. My main reasoning was for the parade, but decided that I'm just not willing to give up park time for the combo. I wish they would offer a parade only version!

that was my concern as well, we usually run through the trick or treating fast, then sit for parade then rides or whatever we want to do. i liked the idea of the areas but it it alot of time, like 730 to 1015 ish

If you enjoy rides and walking around then I would skip it. Personal opinion of course, but yeah the amount of time it takes up is what made me cancel it. If you're undecided you can always book and cancel later on
