Halloween

Our family will be visiting WDW from Oct 14-18th. I think that Disney's special activities for Halloween begin on the 18th. Can you please tell me in detail, what this is? Do my children need to bring costumes and do they go trick-or-treating?

Thanks

Yes, they do get to go trick-or-treating at several different locations thru out MK. They can dress up but they don't have to. They have special Halloween parades and shows thru out the night and several other special activites (fireworks, etc.). All of the E-rides are open. This does require the special ticket for MNSSHP. We'll be there for Oct 18th. My 5 year old got his Peter Pan costume last night. My daughter is going as Wendy. They are so excited.

I went to a Halloween night in 99 and had a blast! There were two special parades, the CM were in different costumes, and the best part was getting free pics, and trick or treating! My bf and I got lots of chocolate bars! you know..having Nestle as a sponsor..... delicious!! Get there early, so you take advantage of all the rides and the extra money you paid! ;) :p
