So with us going to disneyland in october on vacation for a week there is a chance for us to go to one of the parties. Now my question is... is it worth the money going to a party over at disneyland if you have been to one over here in florida before?

MNSSHP is far superior to DL's party. It's fun to dress up and there's lots of candy, but no parade. Fireworks have an almost identical soundtrack (replace Ghost Host with Jack. Flying Zero is the best part).

I'd say go, but don't expect MNSSHP. You'll be disappointed.

There adding Paint the Night in MNSSHP. Wonder if Monster University is going to be replace by Disney Descendants at Tomorrowland Terrace?

We went every year it was held at DCA...I think it was under $20 the first year or two. Pretty minimal but great for trick or treating in a pretty empty park. Went the first year it moved to Disneyland and likely won't do it again. Higher prices, pretty crowded but the fireworks are nice. My suggestion is to do it once and make up your own mind. As others have said, it's not close to being on par with the WDW version.
