Hello All,

Me and the wife are travelling to Orlando early September and I’m looking into going to Disney for Mickeys not so scary Halloween Party. Just need some guidance if anyone can help??

Is the Halloween Party included in the price of the Park entry?

Is all rides and attractions open while the Halloween Party is going on?

Would I need to get express lane passes?

Thanks in Advance!!

JJ

You can find information about the Halloween Party at

Is the Halloween Party included in the price of the Park entry?
It is a separately ticketed event from regular day tickets but includes (almost) everything in the evening.

Is all rides and attractions open while the Halloween Party is going on?
Most, but not all attractions are open during the party. Lines tend to be a bit smaller than during a regular day because people are enjoying the party-exclusive perks and entertainment.

Would I need to get express lane passes?
Lightning Lane is not available during Halloween parties.

Enjoy!

When the tickets and dates are reported to be available be sure to purchase the tickets for the date you want right away. Some dates get sold out exceptionally fast.

Cheers Jiminy!! I have booked. Trying to plan out the day/night there. I see you can access at 4pm so we will be queued up ready to go for that time!

Do you know if I can get hold of a Party Guide Book before I get to the Park?

Keep a look out as we get closer to the party dates. There will be lots of info posted on Disney sites that will describe the events, where characters will be appearing and where snacks are as well as times for all.
Are you going in costume?

I don’t think I will but the wife will probably want to. I want to be as comfortable as humanly possible. Any tips for her?

Be sure the material she's wearing is light. It can be very warm. If she wants to put the costume in a locker to change into it at the beginnng of the party, there are rental lockers at the front of MK. They are fairly cheap to rent. There are candy stations all throughout the park. They give you a small trick or treat bag when the wrist bands are given out. Some people bring a small backpack because it's easier to manage on the rides than the bags. Plan out which characters she wants to see the most and plan out a strategy. Then lines build fast and long especially for the characters that are not usually seen in the parks.
The stage shows are also jammed with people so get a viewing spot early.

Brilliant! Thanks for spending time giving us tips!! I think she is just going to get a set of ears now as comfort is Key!

As this is our first time is there any must sees as I’m not sure if we will get round and see everything. I think we will be going to see the second parade as I’ve heard it’s less busy and we would want to see the fireworks as well??

As the night goes on a lot of parents with kids start leaving because they've started getting tired so you can virtually walk on most rides and ride multiple times near thew last hours. The stage shows are worth viewing and the fireworks are exceptional. The hub area is a mass of people standing. The second parade is still pretty busy spot you need to scope out a spot early. The headless horseman's ride is a unique start to the parade. He isn't galloping through but he is fairly quick to pass by so if you want photos or videos of it happening be ready with your shots. I love the gravediggers dance as well. Their shovels spark on the pavement.

Hi Jiminy! Just one more thing…

We have been discussing what time to arrive at the MK..

do we need to get an armband/wristband to enter? We have the pass on our phones. Just wanted to know if we had to queue up to get the wristband or you get as you enter?

Also, is there anything at the entrance of MK before you enter so we can get there a bit earlier and get a coffee?? I couldn’t see anything on the map?

If you have a park ticket for the day you can enter in the morning and stay all day. DS and I go all day so we get more MK park time. Some do a different park in the AM and then go to MK for the event. If you have just the event ticket you can only get in the park at 4pm. Wristbands for the event are given out before the 7 pm starting time. You can get one at the entrance just past the turnstiles after you enter if you are arriving at 7pm or there are several spots inside the park to pick them up if you are already in the park. There isn't anything outside the entrance to get a coffee.

Thank you again Jiminy!! We only have the ticket for MNSSHP. So we will arrive at the entrance maybe around 3-3.30pm to queue.

That time frame would be good because event goers start lining up early. By arriving at 4pm you can do some of the rides early on or grab something to eat before the event starts. Taking time out to eat when the event starts takes up valuable time you've paid for. There are snacks available around the park. At 6pm they announce that only event ticket holders can be in the park and other guests have to start leaving. You will see CM's ushering people out who try staying without a wrist band.
