Halloween Magic Kingdom and Universal. Are the rides open too?

Just wondering as I will be there during October. Unlikely to go to MNSSHP but would love to see Universal's haunted Halloween at night. It looks great from all I have seen with re-creations of famous movies and such (eg. Michael Myers in Halloween). So we might do that, but we'll see. Either way, are there some attractions open up during this time as well or is it all just the walkthroughs and such? And I am asking for both Magic Kingdon and Universal. Thanks.

You'll be able to see HalloWishes from anywhere outside the MK, since they're fireworks. For anything else, you'll need a ticket at WDW during the MNSSHP.

Most attractions are open at MK during parties with some exceptions (Jungle Cruise, HoP, etc), Universal only keeps headliners open for Horror Nights (Rockit, Mummy, Gringotts, etc). Check their websites for full details.
