My fiance'e and I just got back from the first external audition with some information on the event. IOA will have Marvel, POE, Seuss and Lost Continent open. The Studios will be open from the Boneyard to San Fransisco/Hollywood areas. Seven Houses are confirmed, themes include a Ghost house (SS 22), Vampire House (SS23), Dr. Payne House (Marvel), Wax House(SS 20A), HellsGate (SS20B), Dead/Zombie House(Earthquake cue) and an Icon House(Herc/Xena-SS 44). One of the houses (we guess HellsGate) is themed to a prison, Dr. Payne is the mascot of IOA, the ghost house is a western theme, and the Icon house is a secret. However, we believe they may bring back the Caretaker to be the mascot of USF, and will be in the Icon House. The cornfield is a scare-zone that must be crossed to get to USF. The parade, while the floats are not running will be a scarezone in the Boneyard section, which is being tagged as the Parade/Midway. Port of Evil will be the entrance and exit for the event, and the scaracters are 'broken bodies that have been porely put back together" by Dr. Payne.
There will be a Marvel Street and a Lost Continent Street which were not explained. Also, there is one other street that was not mentioned. Location is unknown, but we would imagine that it would be in the vincinity of Revenge of the Mummy. Two streets are tagged as FS and FY. One of them is the cornfield, the other is unknown.
It appears that Jurassic Park and Toon Lagoon, as well as the Amityville and World Expo sections will be dark.
We will pass along more information has it becomes available.
EDIT- While perusing the net, we found information on the Icon house and the mystery street. "Icon" refers to the Nightmare character that was seen in LC in 2002 and POE in 2003. It appears the demon is finally getting his own house. The Mystery Street is indeed in New York and will be themed to a post-apocalyptic world with "Mad Maxx" type scaracters running about. The chainsaws will be here. FY is New York and FS is Suess/Stalk for the cornfield.
