Halloween alternatives to MNSSHP

Does anybody have any advice on how to spend Halloween if you are not planning on attending the Not So Scary Party? Are there any other places blocked off and safe for trick or treating such as Downtown Disney (Springs) or Celebration? Do the resorts offer any anything on Halloween? Any child-safe suggestions are appreciated.

Resorts usually have Halloween themed activities on 31st. The front desk can give you an itinerary.
You can also watch Hallowishes from outside MK. We're there staying at the Contemporary in 2 weeks and are not attending any parties this year but will watch the special fireworks from the hotel.
DTD has halloween decorations and has previously had some halloween entertainment-bands playing themed music. Can't think of anywhere for trick or treating but there are plenty of treats to be had round Epcot's World Showcase. You could "trick or treat" your way round by buying a small candy or snack from each country and adding it to a special treat bag?
Enjoy!

Go to Fort Wilderness Campground and tour the camp sites as many, many RVers extensively decorate their sites. Take a hay ride, watch the fireworks from the beach.
