Can you buy advance tickets for the Halloween party on 31st October? I couldn't really understand the press release a while back and we don't get in WDW until 30th so I would like to book them before we go if possible

You can. Via the official site for starters. Though be aware of the cost and that is likely to sell out.

On 10/31, they're $105 each. If you want them, as was said, get on the MDE site soon and purchase them before they sell out.

Buy them ASAP if you want October 31st. Last year the 31st was sold out by August 2nd!

We are going Halloween night. Thats my parents 40th anniversary and we have 6 of us going. We got out tickets the days sales opened up.

The slightly confusing part may have been that there is not an advance purchase discount for the 31, as there is for other dates. So it is the most expensive night available.
